Hi I am very interested in buying the Woosh Camino but I am 5'7", not the recommended 5'8". The sizing specifications on the Camino and the Gran Camino are the same on their website with the saddle heights of 90-110cm for both. Yet on the opening page the Camino is stated for small-medium riders, and the Gran Camino for medium to tall riders.

Are there any people here riding the Camino that are 5'7" tall or below? I'm afraid to order in case it will be too big for me. Many thanks for anyone that can reply.

I think there is probably an error on that home page, it certainly looks as if they have the same frame. Woosh have excellent value bikes and good customer service, but the website is not always as accurate as it should be. I'm sure if you contact them they will have advice.

 

I personally always favour a frame that many would consider too small. Fit depends more on your inside leg than your height.

You are fully correct in my bview, in searching out a proper answer.

My query is that some people have long legs with regard to their height, and some have mmuch shorter legs (short arse as we used to say in the RN!) with regard to their height.

Two people of the same height may have vastly differering leg lengths, and as the pelvis is basicaly on the saddle, the length of leg would appear to play a bigger role than suggested up to now.

Am I wrong to worry about that?

So my question is still "how does some one's height give a proper indication of which (as in this case) bike is correct for them?"

My view is that it needs to be done a little bit more accurately.....what say you all?

the 5ft7 - 5ft8 is just an estimation. It'll be fine.

The Camino frame has a relatively long top tube, MTB style stem and handlebars 700C tyres (the Gran Camino has beefy 650B tyres). It is more suitable for medium to tall riders because the arm reach is a bit longer than the average MTB frame.

I have no stock at the moment. Next shipment of Camino and Gran Camino is due in by the beginning of March.

Most bikes are still pre-sold, if you are interested, please reserve. There is no deposit, just first come first served.

The factories are now giving me 6-7 month wait.

Yes I totally agree. I was also a little concerned that I am 47 now and hoped that whatever bike I had would last me the next 20 years but in that time most people shrink an inch or so. Thankyou for your reply.

Great info thanks. So the frames for the camino and gran camino are exactly the same but with different tyres, is that the only difference? I admit I do prefer the wheels of the Gran Camino and hope to do as much off roading as on, but I was sure Hatti said the Gran Camino was larger? I dont mind the extra arm reach, but I do like both tipy-toes on the ground. My inside leg is 31".

If you go ahead with the Camino or Gran Camino, let us know to fit an unsprung seat post. There is no cost involved.

With the standard sprung speat post, you will have to keep one foot on the pedal.

Hi, did you end up going with the Woosh Gran Camino? And if so, how is the experience so far? I'm also 5'7" and very interested in getting it. I have placed the order and should get it in October (2021), but I'm still bit worried about the height situation.
