carrera crossfire battery issue

Featured Replies

Hello all. I hope you can help.

My old battery did 40 miles per charge using mainly eco. The battery suddenly declined so the shop gave me a new battery.

The new battery started at 30 miles and now does 20 miles.

The battery has been tested by the shop. They say the battery is fine.

I spoke to head office and they referred me to the shop again.

Any ideas as to what i can do? I' pretty sure the battery is defective (it's not a bosch).

Thank you.

Firstly make sure the battery is charging and when full reads 41.5 - 42v by using a meter, don't go by any led's that may be on the display or battery but use a meter with actual voltage readout. If the battery is falling short on voltage then the reason for less range is likely to be found there, also one needs to check the charger output reading as well.

Thank you both for replying.

I know when the battery is full now only goes to 98%. That figure shows up when i plug it into my ebike. I get a green light saying battery full off of the charger.

If i bought one of those machine recommended above what information should i expect to see? I don't know the name my battery or the capacity of charge. I know it's not Bosch and it came with the bike.

Thank you again.
