What a terrible design. Not only is there going to be huge pressure on the linking bar....its only driven on one side!

what do you expect for over £500 delivered !!!

Is it really that bad? It strikes me that there may be a market for something like that trailer, albeit a fairly small market. Sure, it seems crude and unsophisticated but I can imagine some people buying into the idea although I think the legality may be a little suspect?

Indalo

Others like this have been on the market for years, in particular a flatbed trailer with the Currie Electrodrive unit mounted below the platform and driving one side wheel, this sold by Tony Castles of Brompton Nano fame.

It's essential that the trailer hitch is mounted low on the bike to prevent the one sided drive upsetting the bike balance too much.

As Indalo suspects, illegal since it's effectively a four wheeled e-bike which is not provided for in law.
