    Disadvantage of an Electric Bike

I went on holiday years ago with 2 X touring bikes on the roof rack. I drove straight under the car port. attached to the bungalow, I'd booked for the week. It sounded bad but the only damage was a few broken spokes.

    The Andrea Rossi Energy Catalyzer

Yes, I never thought of the NIMH battery! It'll be interesting to see if he delivers that one megawatt heating plant, to supply heating for Defkalion in October 2011. As it's all a trade secret and an opaque "black box" with no reliable science to support whatever it is it does, I'm less...

    The Andrea Rossi Energy Catalyzer

"The 2009 patent application claims "a method and apparatus for carrying out nickel and hydrogen exothermal reactions," with production of copper. Although previous works on cold fusion are cited in the patent, one statement by Rossi asserted that it is not cold fusion, but rather LENR...

Cycle Road Rage - Camera Evidence!

Indeed. Road rage is a flattering and nonsensical term. This thug has issues and shouldn't be driving around in a powerful car. His response is abnormal. If caught he should be condemned to public transport. Worryingly I'm sure there is a vitriolic anti cycling mentality about on the road...

    Stargate Universe fans, Heads up

Can't beat a good book for some really great space opera. :) Still considering giving Babylon 5 a try. It does seem popular. Just couldn't get into Caprica.

    Stargate Universe fans, Heads up

I hate it when they do that.:( It's not like they're likely to make a blockbuster film to wrap it all up like they did with Firefly.

    Stargate Universe fans, Heads up

Apologies for the acronym - I was being lazy. Yes I agree the series has picked up and strangely enough we did get a hint of where Discovery is heading not long after my last post. Could it be the inside of the Large Hadron Collider? - heh heh. I'll be watching the rest of the series - if it...

Take Britain out of the EU

Well blow me I'm a citizen of Europe - since the Treaty of Maastricht was ratified apparently. Even though Europe isn't actually a state. Really though British - that's what it says on my passport.

107 mph on a mountain push bike ?

Reminds me of that Japanese chap that skiied down Everest. Begs the question - Why? A pyroclastic flow up his backside would have been spectacular.::eek:

Things on your helmet - dangerous?

Also, on a marginally less flippant note, Viking helmets were designed like all good helmets to deflect the blow away from the head. The addition of horns could have directed a badly wielded sword, and off target swipe, back into the head making for a seriously miserable Viking. Likewise I'd...
