amp settings for tdz2 250w query

hi all got the 250watt tdz2 fitted to my Carrera subway, I used to run it at 12amps for range on the flat.
but its now set for 16amps for some hillier journeys.
I seem to recall the default amp settings was 16 (not sure on what site for tdz I saw this)
looking at my lcd manual the default seems to be 25 would setting to 25 snooker my battery bog standard Chinese battery?
pressing the I and power buttons on lcd does not seem to get me into set up mode, its a while since I adjusted anything on tdz.
anyone run tdz above 16 amps?

What battery do you have?

mine is yosepower 10.4 bought from the same ebay vendor as the link not sure if mine is Samsung cells though bought last year £170

cant find it at the mo there is another link same battery but Samsung cells max discharge I think was 20a

I'd be surprised if your battery could sustain 25 amps. I'd say, most likely, 18A would be a practical maximum for your controller. Going higher won't knacker your battery immediately, but would probably accelerate its demise, and if you go too high, the BMS will cut-off to protect the battery.

thanks d8veh tried 18amps could not notice any difference so reverted back to 16amps , going to try setting speed to 32kph
