Broken pedal assist sensor maybe

Hi guys. Now that I’ve got my wheel working again with new halls my pedal assist has stopped working (it has been working previously). Can they blow? I think I might have plugged mine back in whilst the battery and controller were turned on. If that is the issue are the ones on the net all universal and is there a way to check them like you can with the hall sensors?

If the sensor has a Red LED then it shoud blink on/off as the magnets pass.
You can check the sensor the same way you should see voltage switching as the disc passes, the sensor is easier to just replace as they aren't expensive.

So universal then? I don’t have a red light on it’s just a sensor which I’ve had to fabricate to the other side of my pedal drive. Would it work with a magnet if I take it off?
