Hi

One of the main frustrations I have is not knowing what 'range' I have left in the 'tank'. The battery symbol on the LCD-3 is only obviously a rough guide and even then doesn't really represent a distance - guesstimate or not.

So does anyone know if the Cycle Analyst does an effective job of this and is compatible with this controller?

Or is there any other reasonable accurate meter that anybody uses?

Thanks as always

You need the SA version of the CA that has a separate shunt to go between the controller and battery. A version 2 one would be better because it has less superfluous wires and connectors.

Why don't you fit a cheap wattmeter and find some way to waterproof it. You can even take the insides out and put it in your own waterproof box if you want. There's nothing to them. Details in this thread:
