Hello

Can you recommend a repairer for electric bikes in Hampshire (Southampton)

I have a 36v Tongxin outrider based front hub motor. (kit system)

I suspect its the pedal motion sensor that's on the way out.

Thanks

James

I don't know if this is still active as I copied the notice a couple of years ago but worth a try.

If you are capable and can carry out simple diy, like wiring a 13a plug etc, etc, then replacing a PAS sensor/disc should be relatively easy.

Regarding your current issue if it is simply when peddling along you are having intermittent power then turn the bike upside down and look at the sensor disc arrangement. The magnet disc should only rotate when the pedals/cranks turn, if you can rotate the disc by hand and it is loose you simply need to prevent the disc from turning on it's axis. Also whilst at it look at the gap between the sensor and the disc it should be about 1mm, if need be bend the sensor fitting so the gap is very close.

Pics are always good so we can see if there is a fitting issue.
