Yes, I am aware that these do not have any sort of regen in them. I also know that you can go faster, I was talking about motor cutting off...

Kenji....we all pretty much gave up on regen,the losses are such that for a mile down hill you might get 10 feet up hill,its just not worth the extra complexity.

After looking around, I am unable to find any of the Cube bikes in stock at that price! Does anyone have any other suggestions? After trying to bosch i'm pretty much sold on that motor!

Scrap that, I just purchased an ex-demo Cube from Evans. should have it next week, just in time for my bus pass to expire!

Slightly more than I wanted to spend, but it has the 500w battery instead and it is the 2017 model too. Should give me that extra range if I take up a cycle courier job in my spare time.

I feel that it is worth the little extra in price for a local store to deal with etc.
