Hi Dave.
I removed the brake disc and screws and it was still stiff, so it has just come from the factory stiff.
Originally I used 10mm standard disc screws that were too long and contacted the motor, so then got some 8mm ones with a single washer and they were fine. The WD40 seems to have sorted it now as it is still running freely after a couple of post WD40 rides.
