Octalink BB and PAS Sensor

Well, when Dillenger supplied the kit - they did include a RPAS (Removable PAS) all very well, but there is no clearance from the crank to the BB Shell on the Octalink. Eventually enlarged the hole on the PAS magnet ring and epoxied it to the actual crank. It works , but I would like something neater and more durable. I've obtained right side ring and sensor (the ring attaches to the small chain ring by magnets) The trouble is understanding the wiring. How do I test both from the controller and the sensor which of the three wires is which?

Colours? Green Red Black? Brown Black Yellow?

Black to Black
Brown to red 5 V
other colour signal wire

From the sensor red, white black - I'm presuming the white is the signal, red is the 5V? But thanks, I'll give it a try.

Ah you have one of those, that is how I fried my PAS on the GSM - same colours as the speed sensor... The shame...
