Pedal assist sensor

Hi. I have to fit a pedal assist sensor on the none drive side but I have only 2mm gap. Do I need to change my bottom crank or the chain set? Please help

Show us a pic.
Depending on the sensor type either fit a long BB or get the grinder out and take a bit off the inside of the crank arm.
