Old Friends
It takes me a few months just to catch up with replies my friend and so nice to hear you are still at least electrically mobile. All the very best wishes to you, Tony.

Old Friends
Hi Everyone It's been a while, just to understate things a little. I've been browsing and fascinated by everything that has transpired over the last years. Flecc, so good to see you still contributing, and many others too. Also still fascinated by the location map, which I own but owe to others for the inspiration. What should I buy? Still love that Wisper 905. Would want none of this legislative nonsense, max power, max range, so definitely off road only. Cheers, everyone. Django

Where Do You Live V2.0
Thanks John & Flecc - kind words indeed. Not sure what happened with my access but I disappeared from the site altogether - no longer even listed as a member. Russ seems to have come up trumps though.

Where Do You Live V2.0
Hey, I can post again!! Gremlins have sidelined me for a while now. All those who have asked to be placed on the map via my e-mail address should now be on. Do let me know if that is not the case.

Wiggle. Here today and gone tomorrow?
Not true. Flecc has sometimes advised specific people to use a dealer based upon, amongst other criteria, their mechanical knowledge and desire for servicing availability. Equally, if Flecc describes something as a 'highly valued business model' you can be sure that it is based upon good empirical evidence. Your final point is odd. All contributers should be allowed to coment, criticise and endorse as they wish. The idea that they should be allowed to comment or criticise without Flecc commenting or criticising strikes me as at best unusual. Anyway . . . .

50cycles shop in London
Now how did you guess? Lots of good memories of playing jazz in and around London. Got a 'sensible' job and a young family now having married a gypsy jazz violinist. And you are a bass player with a large wart and a serious moustache no doubt?

50cycles shop in London
A great place to be. I lived there for a few months as a music student (in a camper van down by Richmond lock, but don't tell anyone). Wishing you the very best of luck!

Pondering
My advice, Buy a Honda C90 - cheap as chips and you can abuse it for years without worrying about reliablilty. Don't bother with any safety equipment beyond that which is required by law (the more you wear, the more likely you are to crash). Oops, I keep forgetting, this is an electric bike forum. Go for the Alien.

What colour would YOU like to see on eBikes?
Graphite for me please.

What are you really getting ?
Hi piotrmacheta, Have a look at this thread for more information.

What are you really getting ?
My Torq 1 has now been going for over three years. In that time I have rebuilt the front wheel, changed the tyres, swapped out the front brake blocks and put in a new motor (my fault for ignoring the need to lubricate). My initial battery was rubbish, but as soon as I alerted this fact to 'Chief eZee Power' he sent me a new one from China entirely free of charge with outstanding communication and some of the best customer service I have ever encountered. This was outside warranty, beyond the call of duty and my new battery is still going strong two years later. I have ridden this bike every single day for more than three years, through driving rain, sleet, snow and sunshine. It has been utterly brilliant throughout. Wai Won has been a credit to the industry and he, and his bikes, have my utmost respect.

Thoughts on BEBA
I have refrained from joining in so far, mainly because the answers to all of the objections seem to have been comprehensively made. I too am amazed and depressed by some of these reactions and I too wish BEBA the very best for the future. This is exactly, precisely and clearly what has been needed for some time. I salute all founding members and, once again, am delighted that David is prepared to put the effort in to this important venture. David, if I can do anything to help let me know. If I can make the BEBA meeting I will certainly do so - I just need a date before I can be sure.
