DP C18.UART Bafang colour display problem

I've been messing with a DPC18 on a Frey HT1000 with and ultra motor, this has torque settings and I've figured out that the DPC18 that's locked to 5 levels also uses the eco/sport to actually overirde some of the torque controller settings, which is why BBSxx people don't notice any changes...

    Battery Connectors

Mini XLR perhaps, but still need some sort of adapter for 99% of chargers. Took a look inside the charger and the third pin wire is connected to the board, so looks like the battery may not charge without this sensor in the charger or it may charge and ignore temperature.

    Battery Connectors

Just received my Frey HT1000 on the slow train from China. All is good but it came with a 48v 5 amp charger for the 21amp battery. To make it last a bit longer as I will never require fast charging, I was looking to get a smart charger like the one Luna sell to charge at 1-2amps. However, my...

    Kalkhoff Impulse EVO RS

Knackered motor, but Kalkhoff replaced for free after 3 years and 5000 miles, cannot complain about the customer care, they didn't have to do this except the Evo has a bad reputation for failure.

    Kalkhoff Integrale i8 Seatpost Clamp

While the Impulse EVO RS motor is very good to use but has a bad rep for longevity, I just had a three and half year old 5000+ miles motor replaced for free by Kalkhoff, just labour charges at my LBS. Their customer service (only via dealers and a few days) is excellent. Anyway, noticed a split...

    Kalkhoff Impulse EVO RS

No luck with the climb assist or ride profile settings. Only really getting assist in top level and if I really stand on the pedals. Doesn't seem right to me.

    Kalkhoff Impulse EVO RS

Just bought a second hand Kalkhoff Integrale i8 with the Impulse EVO RS as an upgrade to my wife's cube with puny bosch active (40nm) On initial test, the torques sensor is set way too high, I've got lung problems and cannot use this the way it is. I have noticed though, there are two possible...

    Frey HT1000 (Bafang 1000w offroad)

Quote was $2600 including shipping, assuming a marked $1500 value, add $450 duty+vat. So around the $3000 to your door. Not sure about sizes and colours yet. Anyone else interested in a group purchase?

    Frey HT1000 (Bafang 1000w offroad)

Fatty hub drive bike doesn't really compare. Due to health issues and hilly routes, I need a mid drive system which can use the gears, also given the lower costs of hub drives, not sure it's better value. Other specs look similar in quality, heavy though. I was starting to look for a retirement...

    eBike-specific, main battery-powered front light

There is no magic beams in LED's that is different to ordinary bulbs or xenon, only the lumen output and color temperature. Running 4000K daylight LED's would be a little blinding and to be fair it is tricky getting warm (2700k) LED lights for either cars or bikes, but they are around. I'll bet...

    eBike-specific, main battery-powered front light

Strange it is that cars are not restricted by engine size or speed or having no 'full beam'. It is my choice to get a 750w motor and powerful headlights and my personal responsibility not to speed and to keep lights dipped. Now, if road tax, insurance and some sort of test is required to make...

    eBike-specific, main battery-powered front light

Those Busch and Muller are good quality but are not rated in wattage which is disappointing as you cannot estimate battery drain or light output, probably 6w at a voltage range of 6.5-42v. The internal voltage regulator will be set to the lower 6.5v, so however well designed will not be great...

    eBike-specific, main battery-powered front light

Just tested this £12.99 light/horn with dual switch https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07H29CYQD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 direct on 36v battery for a bafang mid drive setup and I am shocked how good it is (don't know longevity yet, not sure I care at this price). Very...
