and the solar fit tariff ended in 2019 so now you only get paid for what you export and at what there paying the system would never pay for its self.

so im going to cancel the fit contract :p

FIT was an incentive which comes to and end. Why do you want to cancel your current contract? You can't sell your surplus to anyone else.

Back to the main topic of EVs and energy. CATL has just introduced a new sodium EV battery good enough for 5 million miles, charged in 5 minutes and cheaper than their LFP.
From July 2016, EV batteries sold in China have to pass stringent test to prove their level of fireproofing. They have to complete 300 fast cycles charging in under 1 week and short-circuit tests, any risky conditions must give users 5 minutes alarm.

*July 2026
CATL Shenxing 2 battery 800km 1,300KW, 5 minutes charging.

Article here about how the fuel poverty watchdog sees heatpumps. To save you from reading it all, this is the bit I found interesting:
"Current evidence suggests marginal savings at best from heat pumps compared to fossil fuel boilers."
This ties up with what I heard from a Fuel poverty charity and from various heating installers and their associates, though my sources said much worse than that. The whole industry knows that they're a disaster and causing severe hardship, but they can't say anything in case they lose their Government funding. That's why this article is very toned down, but you can read between the lines if you have any intelligence or basic comprehension skills.
