From ChatGPT:
  • Case in point—Dinorwig pumped storage in Wales:
    • While not directly priced per MWh, this facility (and its sister plant Ffestiniog) plays a critical role in stabilizing the grid. A £1 billion refurbishment over the coming decade is expected to extend its operational life by 25 years. The Guardian
  • These figures highlight that existing hydropower assets deliver exceptional value, with long lifespans and substantial grid benefits—especially in buffering demand surges and maintaining stability.
Are you one of these people who has fallen in love with Chat Gpt?

I use chatGPT for all sorts of things!
There is a new chatbot for chess called 'sensei'. Extremely impressive. You should give it a try.

That's for when they want to pull the wool over your eyes. It makes you want to trust it more than the propaganda it normally spouts. Do you understand how confidence tricks work? It's similar to the phrase "trusted sources", and we know how that worked out.

Are you Awre that Groq where that guy is CEO and Grok the AI arm of X , owned mostly by Elon Musk are very different in size and influence?
AI data centres are very different to traditional datacentres like those running websites, search engines, FB, Netflix, Amazon services etc. They need UPS, good connections etc. AI datacentres are usually meant they are built to run Nvidia GPUs. They can run entirely on renewables, no UPS, anywhere, in the desert, out in the middle of oceans or even placed into orbit, whereas conventional datacentres are kept near cities and motorways.
