Or come see me Mark, after all it was my bike before yours :) plus I've got spare throttles, controllers etc.. And very handy just down the road, might cost you a pint or two!
Did we get a shipping cost for one of these batteries?say just one unit of:
"No.9 type of battery
1>building by samsung cells 3000mAh, 36V15Ah with BMS, £138"
When I bought a load of bike bits, got a random hub motor. Its 24V in a 20"? wheel and is threaded on both sides. Any ideas?
Checks out on the tester, haven't had it in bits yet! Make me any offer if anyone wants it! Or just offer some info!
Is there a switch on the battery on the opposite side to the keyswitch? I've had a battery like this and there was a small black rocker switch for the light.

Got a pair of these in my last Banggood order, haven't fit them yet but are very bright! http://www.banggood.com/Bike-Bicycle-Handlebar-Turn-Light-Lamp-End-Bar-Warning-Light-1pair-p-918610.html
You might be better off taking the lid off and charging each cell through the balance wires. Sounds scary, it can be! have a look here for some inspiration. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/need-some-advice-recovering-some-batteries.16514/
