    Eyewear for Cyclists

There is no reason not to wear protective eye goggles, and literally thousands of reasons to. (Insert made up story to prove my point) So if you don't wear any, its just selfish and stubborn.

    Electric biking - the future?

The claimed range of these electric cars are about about as accurate as car manufacturer MPG claims. Best to take off at least a third, from battery and MPG claims.

    Helmets @ Aldi

Just been reading through this thread..... pretty damn funny, i do like a chuckle on an evening when i'm having a beer. It also makes me appreciate the fact i can go through life not giving a ** what other people wear or dont wear.

    Spare Inner Tube Advice

These sealed end tubes look quite ingenious..... Unfortunately they would be in conflict with my tight as a ducks ass nature. I would hate to cut a punctured tube off with a knife, when it can be patched and used again. Also conventional tubes are cheaper as well. So i guess i'm stuck with...

    Helmets @ Aldi

One of the things you'll never hear...... Cyclists who dont wear a helmet, telling cyclists who do wear a helmet, that they shouldn't.

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

Finally got some decent weather today, well the high winds and rain has stopped anyway. So i've been able to go out and test this pedelec sensor i fitted. Its definitely worth having, especially out of town where i'm constantly moving. I would also predict that i'll get better range as i'm doing...

    Helmets @ Aldi

I'm surprised cycle helmets haven't yet been made compulsory in this health & safety obsessed world we now live in..... but thankfully they haven't yet, so i rarely wear one. Gotta make the most of the dwindling freedoms we have left.

    Electric biking - the future?

If electric motorcycles do start taking off, they are going to have to add a decent amount of noise to them. An almost silent motorcycle is not something i'd like to ride on the road, although i can see the advantages for electric dirt bikes having a lot less noise.

    New tyres. Cool or weird?

Worst colour though to keep clean, and any scratches really show up as well..... my previous 2 cars before my current one were metalic black. They look stunning when just washed..... but it only lasts for a short while, then every bit of dust & dirt is highlighted in all its glory.

    New tyres. Cool or weird?

The best way to react to your kids that think you're uncool, is to act even more uncool.... really annoys em that does. 'Dad dancing' works quite well.

Is anyone offering an e-bike with type approval and throttle?

I've just fitted a pedelec sensor to my bike today, if i prefer it to a throttle and feel i wont need a throttle anymore, then i'll remove the throttle and not bother with one in the future. If however i decide i still want a throttle i will carry one fitting one to future bikes. I find it hard...

    New tyres. Cool or weird?

Cant decide if they're cool in a weird way, or weird in a cool way....... still, i bet its a plush ride with those fat feckers.

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

The pedelec fitting job came to halt after i made that post, cos i couldn't find my BB removal socket, probably yet another tool i've lent to someone and not got back. Anyway, bought another one and all done today and pedelec is working fine.... unfortunately i cant go out for a spin on it to...

Which is more ethical - Woosh or Cyclotrocity?

Even though i'll be set on a rear hub motor and the extra weight of a CD would also be a minus for me, i'll be interested to hear your comparison between the two.

Which is more ethical - Woosh or Cyclotrocity?

If i do go down the kit route, a rear hub motor is what i would do. I prefer the look of a rear hub motor to a CD, plus my area is not that hilly, also i would want to keep the 50/34 compact.

Which is more ethical - Woosh or Cyclotrocity?

I think if were to do this conversion, i think i would prefer the battery on the downtube for lower down weight and better weight distribution, but i'm not that bothered about disguising it as an Ebike. Although one concern of mine was whether this lightweight frame is strong enough to hold a...

Which is more ethical - Woosh or Cyclotrocity?

I'll look forward to seeing how it looks with the kit added..... Its still something i may yet do myself.
