lightweight folding e-Bike (to carry on flights of stairs)

Yes, i agree. I wouldn’t be able to carry the Kwikfold up stairs. But it does wheel in small spaces when folded. Such as onto a train or into a lift. And it’s got a rear wheel Bafang motor and disc brakes

lightweight folding e-Bike (to carry on flights of stairs)

It’s not the weight that makes some folding bikes hard to carry. It’s the clumsiness of the folded width that makes it difficult. I chose the Kwikfold Xite-3. It’s not light at 20+kgs but just look at how small and narrow i can get it in a few seconds. Check out my very long review post in the...

    Hard to find parts

Whenever someone happens to list hard to find bike parts on UK Ebay they sell like hot cakes. Which isn’t often. A good business venture for someone maybe?

At this time possibly a folding handlebar stem.

    Hard to find parts

Is there anywhere in UK that i don’t know about, where one can obtain those parts that cannot be found on Ebay etc. I have come across Ali Express. You can get almost anything on there but it’s all in China and takes weeks to arrive. I like the Amazon Next Day and use it a lot but some parts are...

    Kwikfold Xite 3

I have nearly got this bike to my liking. Just one more job to fo i think but not absolutely necessary. Fit a folding handlebar stem. But really only because i’ve removed the original folding hanflebars. I cannot ride with straight handlebars so i’ve replaced them. One thing i would suggest you...

    Braking motor cut

Thanks Woosh. All fitted and working. Much much better to ride now. And so much safer, particularly when moving in small spaces. If you haven’t got them, get them fitted.

    Kwikfold Xite 3

I have got this one. I wanted one that i could fit to the frame, not the seat-post. I have cut it about and made it quick release. I will post a video of how i did it. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F292563111989

    Braking motor cut

Thanks Woosh. At first i thought that was the correct way to do it. Yes of course it is, silly me. Will try it out tomorrow.

    Braking motor cut

Thanks @Woosh . Yes, putting a screwdriver across the 2 pins stops motor turning so it’s the right wires. Now, to connect both levers into one connector i have to form a loop as my photo. Correct? And just connect one red and one blue to the b&w. Correct?

    Braking motor cut

Me again. Are these black & white wires definitely for brake lever cut-out switches connecting? Reason i’m asking again is my new levers with switches have arrived with the same male plugs on them. I can only try it out if i cut all the plugs off and join the wires up.

    Cycling hostility and decline

Have you ever driven a car? You will probably know the feeling. Motorists just hate to be the one directly behind a bicycle. They feel like the guilty one. They feel that they are the one holding up the traffic. Just listen to that impatient driver behind honking his horn. First driver behind...

    Cycling hostility and decline

This is exactly how a foot / cycle path should be marked. Our miles of Tarka Trail should be done this way. And the tree roots which are breaking through the surface need removing.

    Cycling hostility and decline

This looks like one of our North Devon roads. It’s actually a cyclepath in Canada where they’ve got 100s of miles of them.

    Cycling hostility and decline

Down here in our little old towns there is no such thing as a cycle lane. History freaks are so determined to keep the place in the 19th century that nothing gets done. Most of the roads once used by just horses & carts and bicycles are much the same width today. They were not upgraded for...

    Kwikfold Xite 3

A few weeks on. Loving this little bike but i just cannot get on with straight handlebars and wedgie seats. The angle of my wrists and back using straight handlebars get me aching in minutes. So i have had to make it less slim in foldability. And i don’t care. I’ve fitted cruiser handlebars, a...

If one works can i simply join them together with an AMP connector. Run 4 wires into 2 and into one plug?
