    Bosch bearings

yes, I have a kalkhoff as well, one thing about a less expensive bike is that it may be less worrying to own.

    Bosch bearings

curiously, I find myself in a very similar position than this, but with woosh (having had to consult a laywer, i'd rather not say anything more), BUT one positive outcome from it was realising that I may just be able to build my own pedelec - if you pick a good base bicycle and import, say a...

    Bosch bearings

apologies for dredging up an old thread, but there is another difference - on the average Chinese pedelecs the electric may be usefully DIY, but all the components are shite (zoom brakes, crank arms made from regurgitated soap, rubbish tyres that shred in the presence of glass powder, etc)...

Any Interesting News from Eurobike 2014

very cool...but - weirdly - bolted on aftermarket motors can be attractive (in a mechanical kind of way) and seamless designs (like the bosch)a bit too "designed" looking..

Wisper 905 - what's the Nm torque rating?

but you are right to bring in the way gears (naturally) affect torque on a hub, it's easilly overlooked (though my lafree with all of its 24 V nonetheles ate all hubs - sram included - until i put in a rohloff )

Wisper 905 - what's the Nm torque rating?

I'm afraid youre wrong - teh tasman with impulse 2 (that's all tasmans that are less than a year old) have an impulse 2 motor with 70 nM.

Wisper 905 - what's the Nm torque rating?

yes, I used to have a giant lafree/twist that aye hub gears (went through three in as many years). incongruously though my OH's klakhof tasman remains fine despite her (and me) putting much more than the maximum 70nM through its shimano 8 speed hub. I frankly don't understand it (I assume its...

Electric conversion on Hase Lepus recumbent trike

where I am in leafy bucks it really is hilly, im hoping the 328 rpm bpm2 provides enough torque in a 20 wheel (I would have preferred a trike btw,but as you say their costly..)

Difference in manufacturer speed cutoff points

that does, however, neatly summarise the gist of this thread. The idea of a world in which objects are only used within explicit legaly defined parameters must please some anal types, but i suggets that we close this thread and go outside for a change..
