Voltage drop down converter to 12v on Bike battery pack

Does the motor provide any discernible assistance? 180 watts doesn't sound like a lot. Humour me, for I am a landlubber lol

Stunning Mercedes Smart eBike reaches new heights!

Apologies for going slightly off topic  Can anyone offer an explanation of the 'Slow-Start Mode(1-8)' on the 'Pedal Assist' page please. I'm guessing it ramps up the current from 'Start Current(%)', until it reaches the level that the PAS is in. What do the numbers represent, a time...

Crank or Hub Motor. Which is best?

I'm with KTM on this one (sorry couldn't remember your name ) Having ridden both a MAC hub motored bike and a BBS02, I would ride the one depending on my circumstance. A hub driven bike wouldn't cut the mustard on the terrain I ride on nowadays. The feel, the torque and power delivery...

    Halfords

Forum peeps might disagree with me, but I think electric bikes need more specialist sales assistants and mechanics, than Halfords usually has. You might get the odd electric bike enthusiast, who just happens to work for them, but I doubt anyone gets specially trained up.

Another bbs01 post. Hope u can help.

There are other settings that affect the way the motor operates, such as the 'Keep Current' setting. If set too low, then the motor isn't fed enough current to sustain a higher speed. As Nealh says, post some screen shots of your settings when you get the cable, and we can all help to see if...

Another bbs01 post. Hope u can help.

You need to look at how your controller is programmed with one of these cables: http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/bafang-programming-lead-for-bbs01-bbs02-and-bbshd.25337/ Then you will be able to establish if reprogramming the controller can help squeeze out a bit more speed.

Does battery C rating drop with capacity?

Yeah, I think you are spot on with the voltage sag issue of older cells. The voltage just seems to take longer to recover after a bout of heavy current draw. They were only examples above, but the actual pack is one and a half years old with around 200 cycles. A Samsung 30Q pack is in the...

Does battery C rating drop with capacity?

Thanks for the replies guys. So in your opinions, would you just keep drawing the same amps from the pack, regardless of age, until it pretty much dies. Or would you lower the controller's max current draw, say every year, to compensate?

Does battery C rating drop with capacity?

Most peeps know that our batteries don't last forever, with the total capacity dropping with age and use. Can any tell me if the C rating drops also, as the total pack capacity becomes less over the years. Example: Two identical 48v 12Ah 2C rated packs Pack 1: Brand new, still 12Ah in...
