Yep, the bike covered 20 miles before the motor failed. There was a 2 month wait to get it into Halfords for them to fix it. They replaced the motor, tested it, said it was working. When I got it home exactly the same thing happened. All power lost to the motor. I'm now waiting for them to take...

Well done Annie, you've had a bit of luck there! It could well be that the range of the battery is decreased now due to the amount of time that it has been left standing. Don't try to cover the miles that you could with the bike two years ago before doing some shorter test runs!

I have an electric Wisper, and my wife has an electric Pendleton which hasn't worked since she got it 4 months ago. So technically, we have one electric and one non electric bike!

I charge mine overnight using a cheapo mechanical timer (One of the 24hr ones with a big dial and tab like thingys) I just set it to turn off after 6 hours as this is how long it takes to charge the battery (including an hour for BMS rebalancing)

I wouldn't say that I am fit, more average! I've just turned 30, and not ridden a bike (nor done any exercise) properly since my teens! I've not got any illnesses though so that may be where we differ. Do you have any friends with rear hub e-bikes that may let you try them out?

Looks good to me, It may be worth getting a cheapo one like mine as well so that you can also lock the front wheel to the frame of the bike. Just adds one more level of deterrent to any potential thieves. I saw an RAC one in B&M the other day for £10

Many people, myself included, type quickly and mistakes do happen. With the amount of useful information that VFR pumps out to this forum I'm not surprised that there are sometimes spelling or grammatical errors. I think that bringing that into this thread is quite childish and unnecessary...

This is the lock that I bought. The other was donated by my grandad! There are sizes quoted in the description, I’d suggest getting a stronger one of the same size. Maybe Kryptonite? It’s quite a snug fit so I wouldn’t go any bigger. I only went for a cheap one as my bike is always locked up...

Don't forget that the interest free loan is an equity loan. So if the value of your house goes up, so does the loan when you payback or sell. But if the value of your house goes down, the loan stays the same! They've got you both ways!

my wife has a cadence sensor on her Pendleton, I thought that was more like a power on, power off feeling. The torque sensor on my Wisper feels much more natural to me
