Wisper Brand New Wisper 705se Grinding Brakes

Hi David. I'm good thanks, how are you and the team? The last I heard was that Adrian was sending out a new rotor and set of pads. He believed that the brakes may not have been set up properly by the dealer. I am a little sceptical as I have put new pads and a rotor on myself, then had the...

    Step through bike battery position

I have a Wisper 705se with the pannier mounted battery. I like the way that the rack is designed to take the battery, there are some "arms" which I put a small pump and toolkit on. And it may just be me, but the battery seems to be more protected in its little cage! It comes with a luggage strap...

    Battery location pros & cons

I didn't build the bike myself, its a Whisper 705se. The front hub and rear battery should even out your weight distribution a fair bit. The picture attached is how mine is set up, there are kits that incorporate a battery and pannier. https://electric-bike-conversions.co.uk/products/kit-builder

    Pendleton ebike

My wife's Pendleton has lost all power to the motor. Only covered 20 miles! Her lights all stay on though. Going to take it back when the local Halfrauds opens up again. Fingers crossed 15th June!

    Battery location pros & cons

People say that having the battery and the motor on and above the rear wheel can make the bike feel rear heavy. I've never felt this on mine though. I have a rear hub motor and pannier mounted battery.

Wisper Brand New Wisper 705se Grinding Brakes

I checked that the rotor wasn't touching any part of the bike (fork or calliper) but only whilst on a repair stand. Is it possible that with a riders weight on it, and the force exerted by braking, the forks could be flexing a little and causing the rotor to touch somewhere? When on the stand...

    Woosh or wisper

I'm currently getting good aftersales service from Wisper with some grinding brakes on my 705se. Front suspension is comfortable and soaks up the bumps. I'm not sure if this is how it is supposed to work... I have the torque sensor version, but when I put it into max assist it feels as if the...

Wisper Brand New Wisper 705se Grinding Brakes

New Update (For anyone who still cares!) :P The grinding noise from the front brakes is back, so I'm thinking it is more than just a rotor. Time to let David and Claude from Wisper take over!

    Halfords Warranty Procedure

Hi Pedelecers! Does anybody know the warranty procedure for Halfords E Bikes? I have been trying to phone them all week to see if I need to book the bike in first but they are not answering their phones. I'm thinking of just taking the bike down there and leaving it with them, but its a 20...

    What a waste

Huge waste. A lot of people could have benefited from the redistribution of those bikes! I hope they at least disposed of the Lithium properly!

    Power expectancy and Wattage.

When I borrowed a Carerra Crossfire from Halfords on a 48h test ride it cut out 20 miles from home. That is a heavy bike to peddle with no assistance! The bike had only covered 900 miles, Halfords came back saying that they had diagnosed the motor burning out. I went with a Wisper 705se in the...

    Drive Train

Never seen anything like that before. I doubt you would be able to produce the power required to drive the motor. Interesting idea though, were you thinking that the generator would directly feed the motor or feed a battery?

    Bike Repair Stand

With my Wisper Step Through I mount it vertically on the downtube under where the saddle slots in. I was worried at first that it would slip but it hasn't so far. Not sure if the Big bear is the same sort of style?

Wisper Brand New Wisper 705se Grinding Brakes

Quick update. I have fitted washers to space out the callipers a bit. They have more than enough clearance now but are still grinding think I’ll wait until I hear back from Claud @ Wisper!
