Possibly the worst cycle accessory i have seen this year

I think the concept of these is good, but the application is dreadful. they are far too bulky in my opinion. The directional arrow seems to be always visible. Drivers won’t know the difference of them being stowed and deployed. A much simpler set of orange flashing lights would be more than...

    Wisper Wisper 705se Review

No worries. I hope people find it useful :) And thanks for taking on board my rear light observation, I think it would be really beneficial as it has been mentioned to me by other riders. Bright enough at night, but not in dim light situations.

    Wisper Wisper 705se Review

I have owned my Wisper for about 5 months now and covered roughly 1000 miles so thought it was a good time to post a review. I mainly use the bike for commuting along cycle paths, roads and gravel tracks. The Kenda Kevlar tyres have never got a puncture in my time riding and seem really...

bike without single point of failure

I always wondered what the bike in your display pic was, but could never enlarge it enough to see properly! I am slightly jealous of you!

bike without single point of failure

The only Pedelec I have seen with a driveshaft is The Volta by Byar Bicycles. Looks like it's a driveshaft from the pedals combined with a rear hub motor (Battery encased with the motor), and very pricey starting at 3,500 EUR! It also comes with regenerative braking to recharge the battery a...

bike without single point of failure

Love the look of that Swizzbee! It seems completely over engineered but so cool! Must have taken quite a lot of thought to get the belt and the chains RPM to match. I can't get my head round how it works, think it might be something to do with magic! o_O

    World's first manufactured non-cuttable material.

Sadly it seems that anything is nickable, all the thieves need is enough time, the right equipment and big enough balls! Walking around Bristol Waterfront on the weekend I saw 3 bike frames still locked up to railings/bike parks with everything stripped off of them. Literally just the frames...

    World's first manufactured non-cuttable material.

As PP100 said, just make the whole bike out of the stuff! lol

    Failed Pendleton Somerby E

Getting this bike back tomorrow. Confirmed internal break in the motor's cable where it comes out of the axle. New motor being fitted today :)

    World's first manufactured non-cuttable material.

Perhaps they could make mid-drive chains from it. Could eliminate the "Single Point Of Failure"! :D

Wisper Brand New Wisper 705se Grinding Brakes

UPDATE New discs and pads fitted, supplied by Wisper. So far after about 30 miles, all sounds like it did when the bike was first delivered. Many thanks to David and the team who looked after me :)

bike without single point of failure

This one above should be ok! Really every bike type/manufacture/motor style have their strengths and weaknesses. Just the same as when you buy a car you look around at reviews, talk to people who have the model you're after and then make an informed decision based on preference, risk, support...

    E folders under a grand?

https://www.e-bikesdirect.co.uk/electric-bikes/folding-electric-bikes/dawes-arc-ii-unisex-20-folding-electric-bike-66ah-15-frame-6-speed-satin-pearl-blue This one looks pretty good. £99 over your budget, but you get disc brakes and a USB port for charging phones etc. And the battery is...

    New Electric bike battery required

I've heard very good things about this company. They can re-cell older batteries which normally works out cheaper. May be worth contacting them https://ebikebatteries.co.uk/

    Battery question

I'll have to give that one a go! ;)

    Battery question

I turned my saddle round to face backwards. I was sure that the manufactures had got it wrong for about 200 years. A guy down the pub told me to do it and that he was a bum expert. Sure enough I have not ever had a burnt, chatty or misshaped ar$e since!

How Does a BMS REALLY Work? As it seems that many here apparently do not know exactly!

I find that it breaks up being stuck at home working all day. Although I did forget I was sharing my screen over Skype today whilst wandering onto Pedelecs. Some of the RAF Engineers on the call had a good laugh at this thread! :D
