I did not check out the Hall Sensors but rather just swapped the bare motor from the 'noisy' TSDZ2 over to the 'whisper quite' build and it is the bare motor unit that is noisy, definetly! In the follow few pics which I include for others who may find themselves stripping a bare motor unit down...

How about a pic or two of the MTB BB flared area? I ask, as on one of my installs I cut away a bit of metalwork to get the tsdz2 in, but all without weakening the frame.

A badly made battery what ever it is contained in is not a good thing but of course a bag battery is more prone to having problems if not we'll built. But with the right build quality and bag then a bag battery is going to be OK in my book. I wonder what @Woosh might have to say on this...
