    Bike insurance revisited

My John Lewis insurance says they don't cover 'motorised' pedal cycles. which I guess is an electric bike. Strange because they sell E-bikes but won't cover them. I will have to go elsewhere next renewal

How long running the bike to keep the battery good?

Looking at the coming winter I'm starting to consider how to keep the battery conditioned in the winter. As I understand it the battery needs to be used at least once a week as Lithium batteries prefer to be used. My question is what sort of amount of use do they need. Can I just hitch up the...

    5 month old Woosh Zephyr B £600

Great to hear. It's was cos of Marc I took up guitar, not really for any great artistic reason but because of the effect he had on the girls...and the great music of course.

Hi there, I am in Colchester and you are welcome to come and try it. I think it may be okay for your height as one of the issues for me was it was too high even with the seat as far down as it would go. Let me know if you are interested and I will give you my address. I am not far from...

    5 month old Woosh Zephyr B £600

I am selling my 5 month old Woosh Zephyr B. I find it difficult to ride due to health problems so have finally owned up it is not the bike for me. It is in great condition apart from a wear mark on the bar just below the saddle where I used to hang my bike lock. I have had Schwalbe Marathon plus...

    50 Cycles: London telephone number!

With big companies it's all about staffing levels. Emails etc can be dealt with in great numbers by one person. A 15 minute one on one phone call is seen as time lost. It's up to customers to go elsewhere if they want this to change but research shows customers have other priorities. My bank...

A2B or A2B like bike with Assisted pedalling and Throttle?

Thanks for your replies Problem I have is the size of my Woosh, that is size not weight. It seems I need a bike that gives me feet flat on the floor option.

A2B or A2B like bike with Assisted pedalling and Throttle?

Nobody else got any advice? Small framed very solid bikes? If I can put a throttle on an A2b without throttle? Even if I could get the electrics taken off the Woosh get a smaller hub motor and put together something with a lower centre of balance?

    I Ped S?

I thought weight was no longer an issue with the new rules?

    I Ped S?

It does the hills where I am (Colchester) just fine, better than my Woosh bike does. I've done some steep hills in the country park on it but none of them are very long hills. I went for the lite because the other models where just loaed on plastic frontage and I figure the leaner body would be...

    I Ped S?

I have an Iped Lite and that is very well built requiring very little maintenance. All these bikes are heavy compared to an E-bike style but hold the road well. Mine has no exercise value as there is really no assisted pedaling but the S may be different in that regard. Really comfortable too.

A2B or A2B like bike with Assisted pedalling and Throttle?

The Shima? It's gone but looking at the spec it was a real beast and I can't see how it could be brought into line with current legislation.

A2B or A2B like bike with Assisted pedalling and Throttle?

I have really been struggling with my E-bike, a Woosh Zephyr B. It's no fault of the bike I just think with my physical limits due to health issues I find it really hard going. I have an Iped, a moped style E-bike which is easy but has no exercise value. I am thinking one big point needed is a...

any one been pulled over by uk police

I was pulled over on my Iped , which looks more like a moped. The policeman got out the car looked at the bike and said, " that one of those electric bikes?" I replied yes, we then had a chat about some goings on in the town. Some kind of argument started on the pavement nearby. I told him I...

Will the end of full speed throttles in January 2016 cause a rush to buy.

What about second hand sales , will it be illegal to sell a bike with a throttle secondhand? I ask because I really don't believe anyone will bother to type approve unless they are selling it for a grossly inflated price as a 'disability bike' or some other such excuse for trebling the price...

Looking for a really comfortable saddle

The breaking a saddle in is ok for most people but in my case the saddle is likely to break me if it is not comfortable from the start. It's happened before that a hip problem starts and takes forever to go away. I can't afford that I need a seat that is comfy from the start.
