I think its worth the money as it allows me to carry enough battery for 150 miles (if I fill the EM3EV bag as well that would be 200!). The grey part is thick vinyl type flexible plastic and easily painted over with plastic paint. It is well made and despite several offroad excursions over the...

If you look at the photo you will see that the terminals on one charger are wired to the same terminals on the second one. There is then a pair of wires from that to an XT90 plug. The negative lead passes through the wattmeter and the positive splits into 2 just out of the pic with the other...

ONLY if the output from that charger is between 41 and 42 volts. You need to charge to 41V on a 10S battery

If you dont discharge below 3.6V you wont need to balance them. Just check them with a cell checker daily. There is less than 10% capacity left below this level anyway.

I use a pair of Meanwell NES350-48 power supplies in parallel to charge at 17.6 Amps.. They start when plugged in and taper off to virtually zero when the batteries are full. I also have a pair of 24 volt Meanwells so if I need all 6 batteries for a ride I connect 4 to the 48s and the other 2 to...

Then add the cost of a welder and cell holders and all the strips to join them together and of course the technical knowledge to actually build one safely. Lipo are not unsafe when handled properly, just like petrol in a car,if you mistreat it then it can hurt you.

Say it takes 2 hours to charge your batteries and you set off at 8am. \simply connect the batteries to your charger on the evening and set the timer to switch it on at 5.50am and off 2 hours later. Then just unplug and away you go

I once took a pair of 16Ah Multistars down to 3.34V and got 16.7Ah out of them! This is borne out by tests on ES that they do actually have more than the stated capacity in them. I can get almost 700wh going from 4.12V down to 3.62V. The thing is that the initial voltage drops quickly then they...

Lekkie 42T Bling Rings on eBay UK

Before ordering I suggest you make sure it will actually fit on your bike. I have a Cannondale Trail 6 with a 73mm BB and it wont fit mine as it would hit the chainstay. I currently run a 44T standard chainwheel and it misses by only 3mm. I have just bought this...

    Which conversion kit?

I wouldnt use a front wheel kit in Edinburgh due to the cobbles and tram tracks. I have a 1000 watt front wheel kit so know what I am talking about! A BBS01 or a GSM would be the best type for the area and if you browse through these forums you will find plenty of advice and where to buy. Those...

    Overheating Topics?

You need to make sure you are in a low enough gear to be able to pedal easily just as you would without a motor. Using full throttle from a standstill especially in a high gear will cause overheating. The earlier BBS02s had issues due to weak fets but newer ones are a lot better.

I also use an Additive V2 bag. The EM3EV bag holds one pair and is great for trail riding then if going any distance I put the V2 over and it can hold up to 6 batteries although I usually put 4 in and that leaves plenty of room for spare tubes, beer etc...

    Gsm vs bbs01

When using lipo itsbest to charge to 4.1v or even 4.15 rather than 4.2v as this greatly increases cycle life. There is very little energy in that last little bit anyway. Another thing I have found is that if I dont discharge below 3.6v I never have to balance my packs. Once I go below this they...
