Damn, that would be handy. One's Kingmeter KM529 won't go lower than level 1

    Illegal ebike crackdown Coventry

I am considering getting a sticker from eBay to slap on my motor, just to give the 'wardens' a bit less ammunition. Like this: I wonder how they would test the top speed on a PAS bike? My 250w bike does 16mph easy but if I'm pedaling robustly in top gear, I can do a bit more, like 19-20MPH...

    Illegal ebike crackdown Coventry

This story is from Swindon back in March where the police seized an illegal ebike. Apart from the fact that the bike could do 30MPH, they seemed outraged that the bike had a throttle. "It also involved a short bike chase which ended with an illegally modified electric bike being seized. Police...

XF08 in narrow dropouts - advice needed

Thanks for having my back, bro. The one I ordered is 5mm thick and meant for DD motors. They do a 3mm one for 250w motors, but those don't have the adjustable arm angle, which I really fancy. I'll let you know how I get on with it.

Perhaps they used the same picture for both sizes.

All this talk of axles spinning out is making me sweat. So I've ordered one of these:

Help! 1st E-Bike, need help choosing

Sorry for the thread derailment. Mate, those very are impressive numbers. I also rode a bike every day until I was 45 regardless of weather, I also wore wellies and cheap waterproofs when I was younger and commuting on low-powered bikes. But you make no concessions to safer bike gear for...

Help! 1st E-Bike, need help choosing

Yes well I couldn't resist having a bit of fun. I don't really want to get on the wrong side of saneagle, he has too much knowledge and advice for me to get blocked. I wore wellies with a pair of waterproof overtrousers for years on my commute on my CZ175 that I paid £20 for, this was back in...

I also have a Woosh XF08c kit. I Also have an IS mount brake caliper. You did remove the black plastic spacer under the disk mount, right? The picture looks like you did. I have the anti-rotation washers on the outside and the plain washers on the inside. The plain washers supplied with the...

    Upgraded Carrera Subway e bike

Don't forget, without a front derailleur you will need a 'Narrow Wide' chainring or your chain may fall off. Currently you have a guard on your chain ring to keep it in place. Alternatively you can fit one of these:

Once you have it set up you can play around with chainring sizes, you can buy them separately. I started off with 34 tooth, currently on 42 tooth. The bigger the chain ring the less you will spin out in top gear.

You don't HAVE to correct your chain line but it helps gear changing and reduces wear and tear on your drive train. Your pictures show a square taper bottom bracket so the crankset I show below would fit your bike no problem. Crankset: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124899141841?var=425979343809...

    Upgraded Carrera Subway e bike

I replaced my triple crankset for a single chainring crankset from eBay. You will want a 'narrow wide' chainring, it stops the chain falling off apparently. Your chain line is the distance from the chainring to the centre of your frame, it should be about 50mm. I also ordered some triple...

    Just done my first conversation

A Bossnut mid-drive conversion is in this thread from this very website: https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/calibre-bossnut-with-tongsheng-tsdz2.39881/ Of course hanging the battery from the crossbar goes against saneagle's advice. He is very knowledgeable and his advice should not be...

Tidy conversion. Nice cable management, I never thought about routing the cables up the inner side of the seat tube etc. neater than routing them up the under side of the down tube. Your drip-loop could be a tad longer.
