I frequently hesitate before pulling the battery off my bike and going into the supermarket as i glance around and see another ebike often with its battery still in place.. But then i think that any thief will go for the bike with a battery first and pull mine off and lug it with me..

Ebay, amazon etc can sell you replacement terminal modules for hailong style batteries and sleds. expect to pay a tenner for a male/female pair, somewhat overpriced, but i couldnt find it cheaper even from aliexpress as pnp bumped up the costs.. You will need a hi watt soldering iron (60w+imo)...

I dont know your prospective bike, a pic would help.. but unless its got a huge dinner plate motor, looks like a tractor, or is not restricted and ridden at fast speeds, the chances of getting stopped etc are low with the huge total of something like 260 ebike actually confiscated in 2022...
