    Water bottle

I suspect that it would also mean invalidating the warranty of the bike. Phill, frame mounted water bottles and mtb off road use is frequently not a good idea. If the bottle doesn't become covered in crud, then sooner or later it will just bounce off the bike. If you don't like the idea of...

    Calling all Bosch Nyon Users

I did away with mine along time ago, but if it helps this was the most recent settings.

    Nominal Power misunderstood?

Flud, it is quite easy to flatten a 400wh battery as fitted to a Bosch Performance line motor in less than an hour. I have done so, in 10.9 miles of climbing, with an elevation gain of 6,362' Just because you can't do it, doesn't mean that others can't either.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Funny that you should say that, as that was also going through my head whilst I typed it. Sometimes it's a real struggle to bring myself to overtake, and often I think it very inconsiderate of me to do so, and will just amble along behind. :D

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

And rightly so. ;) Some of the girls that I see riding on the South Downs have some lovely bits of kit though. They are usually pretty fast with it as well. Ref the photo above, I was going to ride there this week, but for some strange reason have now decided to give it a miss.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

One of my mates that I ride with regularly decided to take his girlfriend out for an mtb ride this morning. Not sure if it was intentional to put off ever coming out riding again though. :D

I assumed that you had meant just the lever, not the whole assembly.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Do you mean the CTD lever? If so, then yes you can. There is an Allen bolt that retains it, which is located on the upper side of it. You might need to wipe the mud off to see it. ;) edit.. That is assuming that you have a Fox unit.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Old man!!! Mind you, I am 50 next Saturday. :( I'm definitely a tubeless set up fan, especially as many of my rides take me through forest gorse, and or bridleways that have hawthorn and black thorn hedges. I also got fed up of fixing punctures at 10.00pm on cold, rainy winter nights. :(...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I didn't need to repair the hole in the end. I just cleaned everything up, swapped the tyres, added the replacement Caffelatex, and the tyres bumped straight up with no leak. Swapping the tyres also gave me the chance to try out the tyre lever that one of my mates invented. My existing levers...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I had already found the link, but it doesn't tell you what the wall thickness is, or the TPI. Them just saying four layer is pretty meaningless and makes comparing products on a like for like basis impossible.

I can't see any technical Spec for the SG tyres. Where did you get the 4x figure from? Hutchinson detail the full tech info for the superb DZO http://www.hutchinsontires.com/en/mtb/14-dzo.html .

    Cheap workstand!

I already have a means of working on the bike sorted out, but bought one of the bike stands from Lidls just to use as a wash stand, and I'm actually quite impressed with how strong and stable that it is for the money. Obviously I would normally remove the battery, but just wanted to test the...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Oddly I was going to swap the tyres back to front tomorrow, so at least it happened before doing that. 4x thicker than what?

Not what you want in the side wall of a tyre. The Caffelatex didn't seal that one when I removed it. :( .

Buying the right bike for the right reasons

No point owning one and having it sitting around doing nothing for eight months of the year! ;) Tonight's ride was roughly 21 miles, and being truthful it was one of the first times that I have felt tired of riding in mud. I really had enough of it tonight, and it must have been a tough one, as...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Use your credit card. You know that it makes sense. ;) While I think about it, I contacted Connex a few nights ago about the front sprockets, and this was the reply that I received today. "we got feedback that our sprockets are running well with 10 and 11 speed chains. our sprocket is 2,00 mm...
