    Bit of a close call.

Not from me. :) No real harm done, so all is good. I do now have the new toy though. :)

    Bit of a close call.

This was the result of a very small pebble or similar exploding from a distance of about 2 metres away. A roofing blow torch was being used to prep a repair to a tarmac driveway, and as I walked past, a pebble or similar exploded. It couldn't have been much closer to my eye, and burnt the top...

    Best cycling app?

Also with Strava, you can both set the rides to private, so that no one can see them, or set an exclusion zone, which helps prevents anyone from knowing your home address.

    Best cycling app?

Sorry I meant Sports Tracker, not Map my ride.

    Best cycling app?

I guess that it largely depends upon what you want it for. Here is a link to a few. http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/product-news/best-cycling-apps-143222 I use Android, so some of the following might not be relevant to you. For keeping records of rides, I use Strava and sometimes Map...

Bosch eBike Diagnostic Software for sale

Fair point well made. Can't argue with that.

Bike is due for replacement (again). Best commuter for £1,000

http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/2016-woosh-karoo-hub-drive.23864/ :) As Trex has indicated, I did have to work hard to achieve the mileage range that I did. But as said in the review, I used the highest power setting for the whole distance. As with any bike, I'm not suggesting that you...

    cb radios

Happy days as a teenager, spent out in the shed until 3.00am talking to girls and setting up dates (always a mistake) They somehow always sounded nicer and slimmer! :D We would also venture into Tunbridge Wells, go to the top of the multi storey carpark and try to annoy anyone else that we...

    Hydraulic brakes question

I have owned both, and can't say that I've really noticed any difference. I prefer the feel of the Tektro, but prefer the pad fitment of the XT range. I've had no issues with either system, and both work fine.

    Fantic Ebikes

Unless I have missed it, the weight of the bikes has been left out.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Point one. I'll leave SW to tell you. Point two. I don't think that you would ever be likely to break either of those guards. The guards that break are generally the high mounted front guards, and seat post mounted rear guards. In the past, I have broken two of each. The worst that could happen...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

There is enough cable ties there to make any self respecting Haibike owner green with envy. Sensible move with the heli tape. I do the same.

    2016 Woosh Karoo hub drive

A short review of the 2016 Woosh Karoo http://wooshbikes.co.uk/?karoo Bike kindly supplied by Woosh. The Woosh Karoo arrived extremely well packaged within two cardboard boxes, and had a plentiful amount of protective covering to all exposed parts of the bike. The bike was removed easily...

Failed on my first big hill

Sod that! :D This was bad enough! The cliff drop at the bottom didn't making the prospect of climbing it any easier. Actually the bike didn't make it. I lost traction and this point, and couldn't get going again. The grass was simply too wet.

Failed on my first big hill

Not sure what my KOM for it is now, but I suspect that I'd pass on that very kind offer. ;)

Failed on my first big hill

If you look at the one shown it is just a short road climb, but I can certainly find an off road one if you prefer. Possibly the most recent and closet (or will be when link works)

Failed on my first big hill

The nearest is 412wh, but if that is close enough for you, and I can get hold of a bike, I'd happily place a big wager on me beating you. Winner gets to keep the other persons bike. At those kind of stakes, we can run it over three sections. I'm choosing one, you choose one, and the forum...

Failed on my first big hill

You probably correct about the fitness level SW, but I was also the one riding the Bosch powered bike on the first run to test the difference. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/panasonic-hub-motor-capability-as-fitted-to-ktm-e-bikes.23287/#post-297230

Failed on my first big hill

That's crap Flud! My Panasonic hub drive KTM easily out climbed my Bosch Performance line powered KTM, and I'd happily place a bet with you, that it would p**s all over your Yamaha powered bike as well. .
