    Well we've done it :)

I see from the article that Jason rides mainly in the Surrey Hills. There is certainly no shortage of good riding to be had there, and in many respects, it's ideally suited for e-mtb use.

    Well we've done it :)

For which, ridden responsibly and within the letter of the law, there should be no difference on impact. Obviously a topic covered elsewhere. Indeed, taking last weekends organised ride as an example, I'm 100 percent certain that my use of an e-mtb largely had a beneficial impact when compared...

That's you now also off the Xmas card list. :D

E-mtb in it's natural hill climbing enviroment

You have raised an interesting point Rob. The climb was very greasy and slippery, and whilst I didn't want to pee anyone off by using higher power setting and more speed, I was also very conscious that if I had, then the risk of spinning and ruining the track would have probably been greater...

Warranty is good only in shop where you buy the bike

Crockers, you can be assured that it wasn't aimed at you. :) I can only comment on two companies in respect of warranty. BH which were atrocious and left me for months without a bike, and KTM who have been nothing but helpful. This includes just walking in off the street for diagnostic help to...

E-mtb in it's natural hill climbing enviroment

Nah, the response was pretty comical. :) There several WTF comments, and a couple just laughed, and shouted forward to their mates ahead. The little wiggle as I got past the last of the main bunch, was me replying to one lad. There were actually some really favourable and polite comments as a...

E-mtb in it's natural hill climbing enviroment

Just thought that I'd share this short clip from today's mtb event using the KTM Macina Lycan, which shows just how effortlessly a Bosch Performance Line powered e-mtb can climb using just the eco and tour settings. This hill is steeper and wetter than it looks, but the climb was genuinely a...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

To be fair, you did well missing it. I was absolutely plastered, and soaked right through to the pants. Here is the clip to show the natural habitat of an e-mtb. Climbing. This was just a steady climb of an incline that was much steeper than it looks. Climbed just using eco and tour. Nice and...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Annoyingly I had the chance to catch someone falling off at the end of this clip, but didn't realise that the lens was covered in mud, plus I turned away at the crucial moment!. The quality of light was also really crap, which also hasn't done any favours to the clip. I entered the first part...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Sadly Gregg and one other KTM rider couldn't make today's 30 mile Evans mtb ride. The conditions were terrible, with heavy rain, deep mud, and strong winds. I hate riding an mtb on the road, and see it as a waste, but at least the road sections today, allowed the bikes to clean off. I kept out...

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

To be fair to Martin, this thread hasn't been about that, and he could just be honouring warranty claims by paying for any motor repairs etc himself, which doesn't concern anyone else. Or it could just be that he hasn't had any motor issues that needed solving. ;) Col has gone a long way to...

New bike any experience of corratec

Just out of general interest and not judging or criticising, but what is that appeals about Corratec, when compared with UK available bike brands. It isn't a brand that I'd heard of until reading your post.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Annoyingly I bought a spacer as well, then found two of the damn things. Two syringes and fluid came with the kit. :) I used to own a very nice KTM 200EXC. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

CRM, I always used to fancy one of those. I bet that the value has gone up these days. I've been giving the bike a bit of a deep clean over the last few days, in readiness for what should have been the Evans Ride It event. I got home today to discover that my entry hasn't been processed and the...

The fit of Lizard-skins products is usually pretty good. Got to be a better option. :)

It offered just a bit more protection to the shock, but I actually stopped using it last Feb, as it was hampering the build up of crud from escaping. It wouldn't be ideal for your use, but Soundwave is a fair weather rider. ;)
