How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

You only ride on the road, so where is the crud coming from? :) The problem is easily sorted though. Half of a useless Topeak front mudguard. I must admit that in respect of riding at night time in the mud, I've been tempted to just buy a few pairs of Lidls cheap and cheerful long Johns...

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

What a ridiculous and shockingly shameful comparison to make. .

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

You are partially correct. I'd love to see the side of Maritn's business that is currently selling of dongles destroyed. The remainder is up to Martin, but if he has any sense, then he will see that by stopping the promoting of dongles for e-mtb use and the selling of, he would actually be...

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

That bugs the crap out of me every time that I see one of his posts. Conveniently quoted a very long time ago in my naivety, much like the customers that he is supplying dongle's to. Despite formal request, he has refused to remove that comment from his signature. I can't argue that he is...

    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

Making a warranty claim against a supplier isn't always simple, as I once discovered when taking a garage to court over a faulty and substandard vehicle that I rejected after a very short period of ownership. I had to take the supplying garage to court, the importer to court, the finance...

    Is this you Soundwave?

2.00 -2.05 was the one that cracked me up. :D

I see that Scott, Lapierre and Haibike, have each pulled down the links that I put on their respective FB pages.

How much water/abuse can an ebike handle?

edit to my above post. I shouldn't have generalised about hub motors, and should have just put that the BH supplied hub motor didn't like the UK's wet and muddy winter conditions. Ref the review of the Macina Lycan, I carried out a brief one a long time back, but really need to update it. Note...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Sadly the van was lacking any KTM stickers, but never mind. :) It was certainly a superb day to be out and about, and I got into some lovely conversation with various walkers. Everyone seemed so happy today, which was quite refreshing from the more usual moaning.

How much water/abuse can an ebike handle?

The BH went about 14 months ago, and was replaced with the KTM Macina, which has been brilliant. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Yep certainly a lovely day for a ride. The day started pretty cold and foggy, but soon cleared to be a very fine day. :) Frustratingly I had to cut the ride short, and finish using the road. It's a real shame as there are superb down hill sections into Alfriston, but the battery wouldn't have...

How much water/abuse can an ebike handle?

I've never wanted to submerge mine to find out, but it would probably pay to water proof the connection blocks that go onto the motor. More of a concern long term, would be the bearings throughout the bike, and also the chain. Mid/crank drives are pretty hard on chains when used off road. The...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

At that price, it's got to be worth a try. :) The reviews certainly sound promising for them. The DZO's are proving to be brilliant, and weight aside, my one gripe about them is drag. Hard to believe that you would even notice that on an e-bike, but it is very noticeable. Still, I haven't...

Why does a Pedelec cut out at 15.5mph?

What is interesting is that a lot of pedelec riders moan about the cut off point, and on the road I also find it annoying, but I suspect that if it were to be raised, it would still be just as annoying, whatever the speed increment.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Well that was one very wet and muddy ride tonight. It was a tough choice... Go out into the pouring hard rain and fog, or stay in the warm. As usual the bike won. :) The Hutchinson tyres impress more and more with each ride, and the fenix BT20 is now my firm favourite light. It does eat...

Newbie from Surrey saying hi, KTM Macina Force

Probably not. His mate has the benefit of knowing that unlike SW, that his bike is being held together with cable ties. It's a recognised Haibike mod. :) .
