    BikeBiz story about eBikes.

As you already know, concerns have already been raised about the use of e-mtb's at organised mtb sportive events. The most recent being an Evans ride it, where many questions were asked, and many issues raised. I'm riding another in a weeks time, and it'll be interesting to see how things go...

Newbie from Surrey saying hi, KTM Macina Force

That's good to hear. :) I can't say that the Biggin Hill ride is really that great as far as organised rides go. I did it last year, and felt that there was too much road work, but it was still a really good laugh, with plenty of banter and **** taking. It was on this ride last year, that I met...

Newbie from Surrey saying hi, KTM Macina Force

I wondered if that was your bike on the KTM mountain bike FB page. :) https://www.facebook.com/groups/KTMmountainbikefanpage/470914833093249/?notif_t=group_activity My self and three other KTM owners from the group are going to be doing this if you fancy it. You will have to remove the dongle...

Carrier/bag for an extra Bosch battery

For those that carry a spare Bosch battery, or would like to, I was sorting through the shed yesterday and came across a few army surplus German/Belgian gas mask bags. It turns out that these things are the perfect size, and with two internal pockets and space above, there is still ample room...

Tororider Mountain Bikes - New crank drive

Something that I'm all in favour of.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I did something a bit different today. I decided to say hell to the bad knee and pedal 40 miles (after detours) to Eastbourne for moule-frite, and Belgium beer. Not exactly cycling fodder, but still very very good. :) I scrounged a lift back though!

Tororider Mountain Bikes - New crank drive

I guess that this bikes nearest competition is going to be Rotwild. The main difference being though, that the Tororider is a completely unknown package, from it's Fendt motor to it's front forks. A seemingly well crafted and lovely looking bike, but it would take a brave person to dive in and...

Tororider Mountain Bikes - New crank drive

Well that took some finding. http://ebike-mtb.com/tororider-e-bikes-mit-fendt-motor-aus-dem-allgaeu/ http://pedelec-elektro-fahrrad.de/news/neuheit-2016-tororider-carbon-e-mtbs-mit-fendt-e-antrieb/ The motor. :) http://www.fendt-e-motoren.de/ edit.. I can't get the links to work on the...

Tororider Mountain Bikes - New crank drive

Very nice. The style reminds me slightly of Look bikes.

    Any help in Suffolk?

My Bosch powered KTM copes fine in the mud. A hard tail would be more practical in these conditions though, so if it's flat riding and mud that you thinking, rule out full suspension right away. Wet Wealden clay. Wet Sussex chalk, sand and clay. Wet Sussex chalk. The worst possible mix...

    Hi 63year old exmoutain biker

Bit too far away for me to offer to pop out for a ride with you. :)

    chain or belt drive?

Carbon belt drive and hub gears, the most silent option available. Lovely. :) Sadly any electric motor is going to spoil that silence though, so I'd just stick to a conventional chain set up. The Scott sub ten that I borrowed some time back, was quite amazing to ride, although the gearing was...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

It can indeed, and stays exactly where you point it. What I would say though is that the video is slightly misleading. The light is quite yellow when compared with cree lights, and I don't know how they achieved that whiteness. The one downside that I have found, is battery life. It only uses...

    volvo life paint

I prefer to stay very low key when out for my night rides. That paint wouldn't be the best of ideas when riding through the local army camp late at night. :D Just save your money and wait for the Chinese to build a new power station near to your house. It'll have the same effect, only it won't...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Had a very late night ride yesterday, and took along with me a light that I had for some reason not used for a year or so. A Fenix BT20. I'd not realised just how good that this light is, when compared with the cheapo Cree lights. It isn't that it is brighter, it is the spread of the beam that...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

The college is certainly an amazing building. I've yet to ride that specific area, but really should get around to it. Amberley is a brilliant one to ride from, but obviously not a realistic start point unless taking the bike by car, which by memory you aren't keen on. Something that I can...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Very nice. I love the bleak landscape that forms parts of the SD. I know what you mean about the flint descents. Add a bit of wetness into the equation, and it's certainly becomes icy and scary. Looks as though the weather was kind to you as well. :)

"Strange" German valves fitted to Kalkhoff bikes.

Blimey, those area blast from the past. Happy childhood days, spent trashing and crashing bikes around anywhere and everywhere*. *nothing changes. :)

    Scott e sub Speed

One of my favourite looking bikes. Like wise the colour. :) I borrowed a Gates Belt pedal version some time back, and loved every second of it. The fit and quality of everything, right down to the mudguards was spot on. If I had the money spare for yet another bike, one of these would be way up...
