How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I'd say that my helmet saved me this evening

What is the point of 'fat bikes'

I personally hate the things, but out of interest, what is the average weight of one.

    Pedelec Police

I've certainly seen them in regular use at Crowborough, Heathfield and East Grinstead.

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

Fordulike, It does. :) I just pull the chain from the upper run. Not ideal, but it works. The handle also just clips on, so I guess that it could be reversed, but I glued mine on when I first got it, so this isn't an option for me to try.

Park Tool Cyclone Chain Scrubber on BBSxx?

Brilliant bit of kit. As for not being recommended... All factory grease would have pretty much all but gone within my first ride or so. I'd rather use the chain scrubber to get rid of the abrasive dust/soil, than leave it place to act as grinding paste. There shouldn't be any air in the...

    EMU @ Cyclezee

Everything is cheaper outside of Switzerland. :) I was just going by memory from last year when I was out there. :)

    EMU @ Cyclezee

They look nice, neat and functional. They bear a striking resemblance to the Saxonette range that's sold in the supermarkets in Switzerland.

    Buying abroad...

Ref the stretched forward comment. A shorter stem, and raised bars could help with that one. I'm in the same situation as you. I'm also 5'11" ish and whilst I have a large size frame, it's perhaps a just a tad too big, and with the standard flat bars, it's surprising how much weight is placed...

    Do you swing both ways?

Beautiful bike. :) I used to also have an aversion to back packs, but you soon get used to them. My latest one being a CamelbaK Mule NV. I now loathe anything on the bike, and with real reluctance, I might be adding a very small saddle bag for the Swiss trip.

    Punctures............

But were the other lads using Racing Ralphs? I had thought exactly the same as SRS. My pedal mtb uses Racing Ralphs, and it does suffer from the occasional puncture. It's just a light weight, thin carcass tyre. KTM also fit them to some e-mtb's, and I bet that other manufacturers besides...

    Do you swing both ways?

The negative comments had seemed to have died a natural death, but the last few months seem to have seen an influx of them. Some of the online comments have been quite aggressive. Stupid really, as the goal is the same. To get out in the fresh air for some simple, peaceful enjoyment and...

    Do you swing both ways?

Very nice spec on that Rob. :) Health permitting, I can't get enough of riding the pedal only mtb. Since borrowing a pedal mtb whilst on hols last year, and realising that I can ride one, I was hooked. I had the KTM Ultra 1964 Limited Edition below ordered up, before even finishing the...

Crank drive pedelecs: chain wear and maintenance

Just throwing out a very curved ball, is it possible the wheel is out of line, or that the dropout is twisted. Or even that you might unknowingly be mixing SRAM and Shimano parts.
