How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

One word...... Stunning. :) Hang on, I've thought of another two words.. Very jealous. :) Oddly, I was thinking about Rotwild bikes whilst cycling back from the pub this evening. .

How to choose new chainset for KTM MTB?

I use the chain that Rob has linked to, and I'm more than happy with it. I also carry a one as a spare as well. The snap link did break in half after approx 60 miles, but the replacement one that I fitted has been fine.

    Going tubeless

Braylew was correct. Stans tubeless liquid has a terrible life expectancy. In my case roughly two and a half months! The above mentioned hole reappeared at about 9.00pm last night in the pitch dark and miles from anywhere. Luckily it re sealed itself to get me home, but today it wouldn't take...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

A little bit better Dave, same short route. Still need to stop the shake though, and be more aware of the sun. ( And if you have ever wondered what Pooh Bridge looks like, it's at the end of this short clip. I normally only ride this little section at night time. It's generally too busy in...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Dave, that is why I said that I still need to sort the mount out. It's a chest mount, and I still haven't managed to get the angle right. When I try it at home before setting off it's fine, but then changes by the time that I have started to use it. edit.. I've figured out why now, so...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Stupidly took another off yesterday evening. I was just riding along at roughly 20mph, just minding my own business on the now almost dry forest tracks, then suddenly within the space of a few foot, the front end of the bike went down, and the bike just stopped dead. I went straight up over the...

    WTF???

When I used to race with Bemsee in approx 2004, a couple of lads had them as pit bikes. They were brilliant. :) By memory, you could get two laps of the indy circuit out one charge. :)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Oldosc, I'm a mere 49yrs old, and can honestly say that push bikes formed the centre of my child hood. We went everywhere and anywhere on bikes (some things don't change) The more that I think about it, the more wild that those adventures now seem. Some of those tales now seem very sad, when...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I must admit that in the case of stiles and gates, that is definitely where the pedal bike scores. You hardly notice that you have lifted it over. :) As well as riding tomorrow evening, I might well stick the e-mtb in the van and take it to work with me on Thursday. I'm working at Keymer, so...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I guess that it was about 8.30pm, so not the best of light. Lucky you, for being able to ride out today. I'm working within sight of the South Downs, and they looked very appealing today. :( I'm back out again tomorrow evening with four other riders, so it should prove to be entertaining fun...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Things are finally starting to dry up a bit! Three from yesterday. I also need some more practice on riding this short section of compacted road stone forest ride. It's only .6 of a mile long, with a descent of 241' but it is bloody unnerving. I came down it tonight and hit just on 38mph...

    Problem inflating "slimed" tubes

Just push the centre of the valve stem in slightly first to break the seal, then put the pump on.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I celebrated my 49th Birthday yesterday, and what better way to do so than by taking a mixed 24 mile off road on road ride to get some fish and chips and a beer afterwards. Something must have been wrong, as I was the mug using the KTM Ultra 1964 pedal mtb. I don't regret a second of it. :) I...

    New Chinese crank drive bicycles

If that's the ultimate high end e-mtb, I'd love to see the worse.:D

Lovely riding in that area. None of the heavy clay that we have around here.

    Cassette wear?

I'd say that wear has more to do with the conditions that you ride in and riding style than anything else. As said before, the conditions where I live are very hard on final drive components. We have three types of soil, Wealden clay which doesn't particularly do much harm, but is very heavy...

    springer front end?

Looks sort of flat tank V flat track.

    Now this looks appealing.

There isn't really that much to say. :) As a kid I used to play within the grounds which cover some 850 acres, and have used it as a cut through to get to other places to go riding. I always assumed that it was MOD land, but it turns out that it isn't. I was out doing my current good deed, and...

    Best bike for hills?

Sorry that this has nothing to do with electric bikes, but you have reminded me a wonderful guy called Svengaillie. Sadly he is no longer with us, as he died in a fire, but I'm mentioning him to show what can be achieved when you only have one lung. :) Svengaillie was an inspiration to many...

Stealth bomber arrived this week with a 5400w motor

Steve, I expect that you have already seen the following and know of ES forum member dlogic, but in case you haven't come across him, his videos about rebuilding the Suntour Vboxx are really interesting. A very clever and helpful lad.
