So I went to a trail centre...

A telescopic fishing rod stand works well in relation to the photography. I just can't currently find the one that I bought for this job. :( edit... If you buy one, make sure that it locks solid. My first one didn't.

One for those that like their eBikes with a throttle...

I've been following the development of this bike for the last year so on the American MX scene. Glad to see it heading this way as well. Lets hope that a trials bike is next. It would be good to see something other than Oset out there.

    Just for a laugh...

Why do I write something, post it up, only to discover that something has predicted my wording, then changed it. Sorry if my reply made little sense. Ref the chain bath, they are brilliant bits of kit. Everyone should own one. :)

Phil, careful how you use the paraffin. You can easily wreck rubber seals etc. So careful what you clean with it. There is something very therapeutic about spirit burners. Less so when they don't have a silent cap fitted, and even less so if it happens to be one of my many No2 cookers. Petrol...

    Just for a laugh...

That reminds me of my old GP250 racing days. My bikes ran on Avgas 100ll and of course where do you go to buy it, airfields. It was always a big drama to buy it, and I'd have to look online first, write down an aircraft reg number on the bck of my hand, and hope that they never checked to...

    First Electric summer!

Hi Paul. SRS from this forum is on your door step. I'm also only 25 miles away, and ride regularly on the SD. There is an offroad section to the forum, and scrolling though this thread, you might well recognize some areas...

    Three forum members, one ride.

WT, in relation to speed, I already know that I can nail a fast time on an e-mtb. Wiggle rides attract faster riders than the Evans rides, but even so, the summer ride that I did with Evans was 29 miles long and the battery on the BH had died after 12 miles, which left me 17 miles to pedal with...

    How to "fix" Brake Fade

Just to add to what KTM BI have said. If you happen to spill or need additional fluid*, make sure that you use the correct grade and type to replace. Check the OE spec to find out which that you require. * It's doubtful that you will ever require additional fluid.

Bosch Nyon Performance System / Sat Nav for 2015

When riding off road, I'm finding that is all to easy to keep knocking the handle bar control, which then switches between either power settings or display settings. I still reckon that Nyon is just a pain in backside gimmick when it comes to off road use. It has no place on an e-mtb. I'm...

    KTM Corner

Smiles all the way with KTM. :) I have a very annoying habit of covering the left lever. It stems from racing a 2 stroke, and has stayed with me ever since. The climb is actually far steeper than it looks.

I lost touch with SRS for a while as well. There was one section where both myself and William had to carry our bikes due to the depth of water. Neither of us were daft enough to want to risk our motors, and somehow we split up. I thought that SRS was behind when I set off, but he was...

You know how it is. He cleans his bike and I don't. ;) Plus I had to keep carrying him and his bike. ;)

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Nice write up and photos WT. :) A pleasure to meet up with you and your friend again. As for my end of ride battery level. ;) Pretty much bang on 50% remaining. :)

SRS, you recall me saying that I wasn't going to clean the bike until tomorrow. I lied, and it's already spotless again. :D I remember leaving a bike dirty overnight once before. It's surprising how fast that rust appears on the chain etc, and the dirt is seemingly ten times worse to remove.

Today was when the Wiggle purbeck hill a saurus 2014 took place, and is was really great to have two other forum members also taking part in the ride. The word is finally spreading. :) This is just a thread starter, and hopefully WilliamTell and SRS will be along at some stage to add their...

    KTM Corner

Frustratingly I genuingly can't remember how the two motors compare. :( I guess that this must actually be a very positive, or it would highlight that one once better than the other. I remember that the Bosch motor was an acquired taste, but that was with the older motor. The newer motor feels...

    KTM Corner

I like both forms of motor now, and in respect of Cols offer, looking at it another way. If worse comes to worse and you don't like it, you always have something to sell. I very much doubt that you would end up taking a loss on it, or if you did, I can't imagine it being very much. :)

    KTM Corner

That question was put to me sometime last week, and then as now I hesitate to answer. :) I really should know straight from the top of my head but don't. I was hoping to get another ride on a Panasonic hub drive bike to make a direct comparison. It's surprising how quickly that you forget and...

    A Statement from Bosch

I read that statement a few months back from the FAQ page of the Bosch homepage. http://www.bosch-ebike.de/en/company/faq_company/faq.html .
