    Too wet for an e-bike?

The water was just a few mm below the level of the motor along this flooded back lane. To start with I rode very slowly, then realised that by going slightly faster, the wake of water cleared made things easier The bridleways today were just very washed out! Despite the marketing crap...

    Haibike Xduro Race

That sounds like BH Bikes UK. From my experience and at least one other person here, the warranty isn't worth the paper that it's written on.

    Haibike Xduro Race

Damn they are nice, especially the XDURO Superrace 28. I'll have to see what my German relatives can up with price wise. One of them is coming over in a van at Easter time, and I'm sure that sticking a bike in the back shouldn't prove too difficult. ;) Not sure how can it be considered dabbling...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Mud is fine and is easy to wash off, the biggest concern at the moment is finding places to ride that aren't going to give you punctures. I guess that hedges have to be cut sometime. :) This hedge cutting took it to the extreme though. They had removed over half the height of the hedge, then...

Bike recovery ( for if you breakdown / puncture)

That was exactly what I was thinking.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

I'll ask on another forum for you in respect of routes that are close to you, but when it comes to mud, trust me once you have got it dirty for the first time, you won't look back. That is when the fun begins. :) It's easy and quick enough to wash and clean a bike off afterwards. :) I reckon...

    Bike Forks?

Bloody BH as well, for using such poor quality low end components. Don't know about the "best place for them is the scrap metal bin" it is the only place for them. Clockwise, that YouTube clip was brilliant. If you have any more gems like that, I'd love to see them.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Then home. :) Annoyingly the tracks weren't wide enough to use the edges. I did try, but there was just too many brambles. .

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Back onto another normal, but steep bridleway. This nearly finished me after the mud. Then onto Ashdown Forest.

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Nice to see another bike being used for what it was intended for Gringo. I found the limits of my new tyres today on yet another ride that was approx 27 miles long. It started off okay with just a wet bridleway, then onto some very deep water on the roads. Then onto this lot below! I...

    Bike Forks?

Daft isn't it, I'm more than happy to pull any GP250 race into every single component part, leave it a couple of years, then re assemble it again without referring to a workshop manual other than for torque settings, yet give me a simple cycle, and I'm lost. :D Which leads me to my next...

    Bike Forks?

Result... I removed the forks today, and the actual tube length was 285mm, not the 290mm that I had previously quoted. With everything removed, the headstock measures 210mm, so currently there is 75mm sticking above. Change the conical fsa for a normal one, remove the two 10mm spacers, fit a...

    Boxing Day ride :)

Looks good Martin. Always good see another bike off road. :) I only went for a very relaxed on road bimble around Ashdown Forest. http://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/electric-bicycles/14997-anyone-had-interesting-ride-recently-12.html#post201922 I was going to go off road, but were having...

Anyone had an interesting ride recently ?

I thought that I'd better make some room for Boxing Day lunch, so popped out for a 27mile ride around Ashdown Forest and some of the surrounding area. It was a nice chilled out spin, although as expected the roads were very wet and there was a fair few trees and cables down. As yesterdays brief...

    Bike Forks?

Thanks yet again for the help. If I can sneak out tomorrow, I'll strip things down and take a look and measure properly. It appears that RST forks don't get rave reviews, but at least to their credit, you can the buy the steerer tubes separately. RST CroMo steerer tubes offers at the cycling...

    Merry Christmas From Cyclezee

My Xmas ride ended after 2.3miles. :( Error 13 reared it's ugly head, and as soon as I saw it I knew that I had made a school boy error by leaving the battery key at home! It was actually a blessing in disguise, as the weather turned from cloud to near on horizontal rain and hail. I had...

    Bike Forks?

You have to wonder why a company would use a crap quality £50.00 non industry standard tube length fork on a 2k bike. It goes along way to explaining why I'm still waiting to get it sorted.

Don't worry Lynda, that one was only up long enough for me to take the photo. :) Here is a nicer one.

    Bike Forks?

Hopefully this might make it clearer. :) I measured from the bottom of the frame steering tube, up to the top of the handle bar stem clamp.
