Do the more expensive Ebike manufacturers let rubbish dealers sell their high cost, high spec Ebikes ?

Car & motorcycle manufacturers do it.... i dont see why Ebike manufacturers cant. Some of these Ebikes run into many thousands of pounds.

Perhaps the manufacturers should cover any costs of repair to their products to any dealer that sells their products.

Seeing as this thread was originally about warranties, i was rather hoping that any dealers on here would answer this question.

Hmm..... The possible broken/changing spokes wasn't something i gave any thought to. Could be a problem i guess.

Wow !.... That Haibike XDuro Road looks the dogs danglies, but not sure i can bring myself to splurge £3K on a roadie Ebike.

Very good question..... especially as some of these Ebikes cost a few thousand £. And very commendable for Mercedes Smart doing it.

I use gear oil, the same as i use on my motorcycle chains...... and its a lot easier to put on sparingly with a small brush than the stuff in aerosol cans.

If its such a small minority that are fitting them, then its not really a big deal then. On one hand some are saying thats a small minority fitting dongles and on the other some are saying its a threat to the way of life of EMTB's. But i dont believe it is a minority, because its not just...

Why isn't 3 acceptable or true ? You can ride what you want on private land that isn't open to the public..... like pit bikes and unregistered dirt bikes that aren't legal on highways & byways/green lanes.

So what exactly do you want....... Dealers to voluntarily stop selling dongles ? The selling of dongles to be made illegal ? Or dealers to just make it clear that dongles should only be used on private land ?

I see they now have proper photos up of the Karoo, although i'd like to see photo's of the bike in full as well as just parts of it. It looks quite nice though, the only things i'm not keen on are the grips, that look like they belong on a Harley Davidson or some other chromed cruiser..... and...

The trouble with statistics, is that someone can make them say whatever they want according to their agenda.

It looks a nice bike, from the limited pictures, and something i could be interested in. I like the weight and the clean uncluttered look. How is this rear hub motor for torque compared to a CD ?..... Also what size is the chain ring ? It doesn't say on Woosh's site, but it looks like a 48T.

Have you looked underneath the bottom bracket to see if there's a frame number there ?

Waiting to see some proper photos of this bike, rather than the stock pictures that are on the Woosh site. So can it definitely be derestricted then, like the OP asked ?

Well i dont see selling dongles as a big deal..... and its not the only way to derestrict an ebike anyway. On my hybrid with a kit fitted, i find 15.5 mph enough, but thats because i'm mainly on canal paths, cycle paths & tracks where there are pedestrians around..... but a young, fit...

Then complain about irresponsible ebike owners using a dongle where they shouldn't.... dont complain about people legitimately selling dongles. My motorcycle will easily do twice the national speed limit.... are you going to whinge about Yamaha selling a bike that does this speed ? Its reckless...

So what is the problem with dealers selling dongles and stating that they are for..... 'Off road (Private land) use only'... ? Because i cannot see a problem with that.

Another plus for me, would be not having to check pressures and pump up tyres, something i'm seeming to always have to do every time i take my bike out. Not sure i'd put them on my hybrid, as i go over pretty rough ground with it and the 700x45 that are on there give a good ride for this. But as...
