Poll: Help choose the CycleCharge charging-point sticker

Amendment! After considering flecc's observations, I've decide to amend design number 2. If anyone wants to change their vote, just let me know what you voted for originally and what you want to vote for now, and I will make the change! Sorry about that!

Poll: Help choose the CycleCharge charging-point sticker

Flecc, I'm curious...would your vote have been different if the other two designs had a) replaced the name "CycleCharge" with "Charge Point" or b) included the words "Charge Point"?

Poll: Help choose the CycleCharge charging-point sticker

hi DJH, yeah it should be working fine the registration..the site and project is still very much a "work in progress" though and beyond registering for an account you can't do much else yet apart from comment on articles, no charging-points or directory added :)

Poll: Help choose the CycleCharge charging-point sticker

Hi all, Those who have been following the other thread started by funkylyn will already be aware of the CycleCharge project. For those who haven't seen it, in a nutshell, it's a project started by a group of e-bikers from this forum to try and establish charging-points around the country for...

    Need an ebike photo

Hi all, I'm currently working on putting together a downloadable PDF leaflet promoting our CycleCharge scheme which is aimed at explaining/selling the concept to businesses and other outlets and getting them to become charge points to allow recharge of ebike batteries. I'd like to use a photo...

    Ugly or Beautiful?

Hehe yeah I was thinking exactly the same. Got that huge downtube frame and wasted space inside. It's like riding on a piece of scaffolding! It leans to much towards a motor-bike look for my tastes, but I do like the clean look and white finish and straight lines of it.

Near accident...who was in the wrong?

I want back to this particular road yesterday (brave or foolish) and filmed it. This time I handled it perfectly and with confidence. It turns out, the road is not as poorly marked or set out as I thought and there is a sufficient area in the middle for cyclists to wait for traffic. I will...

Near accident...who was in the wrong?

Hi Mike, it seems blue flashing lights are not allowed on the road on anything, even bicycles! Here's the reply I got from someone who seems to know the law:

Good posts Synthman it does make you think all the dangers we face and accidents we can also cause especially to animals and pedestrians. You really have to be on the ball and keep your eyes wide open don't you. I take extra care but there's always the unexpected things like dogs running out...

    clothing ideas for cycling...

For me, the following makes riding far more comfortable and enjoyable: 1. Craghoppers fleece lined trousers with utility pockets. They're loose, they're super warm and comfortable, they don't catch on the chain, and they're black so it doesn't matter about oil when carrying bike. 2. Roll-neck...

Near accident...who was in the wrong?

I agree this whole junction looks rather confusing and badly planned out to me from a cyclists prospective..it would be better if there was a wider safety area? in the middle where the road forks, so cyclists can be safe to stop there until traffic passes before entering the road.. Surely where...

Near accident...who was in the wrong?

I'm pretty sure cyclists are allowed to use buses-only lanes as I do it daily and even had police behind me several times on the same road as they use it too regularly to get across town quickly...someone do correct me if I'm wrong here though. It could be the police never bothered to stop me as...

    My daily "commute"

Thanks Steve, I'm using a Vado HD pocket camcorder (the Flip Style) and I made a little shoulder strap holder for it which goes onto my rucksack. Getting the camera angle right is a bit trial and error, too high and you get the sky! It's hard to judge on the road..I guess I will need to...
