I rode my bike for about a couple of weeks without brakecutoffs and didn't like it, especially around town in close to the cars and was glad to put a new sensor on. I only use PAS though.

Both of those are good. The first one with Panasonic cells is the newer model.

I use one or two of those reflective stretchy bands around my battery to secure it a bit more and stop it rattling.

I think your idea may be working, first I shook out what drips I could, after a few hours in rice if switched on briefly then went off, another few hours it switched on and a button worked and went off. Now I am at the stage where it switches on and works for a random length of time in minutes...

I just noticed the speedo doesn't work on the LCD1 so no point in having it. So I just shorted the red and blue and the throttle works which is great. and can switch off with the battery switch if needed. Fantastic.

I got the 36v 201rpm.I am only a light person and running it at 36v 16a I got about 17mph ish and at 12s-44v I got about 21mph although my speed is usually restricted anyway so its fine for me at 36v.

The cover is only really to stop rain water running down into the top LED area as that isn't sealed and also any joints, which it does quite well. I didn't consider water splashing upward but I've cycled through some bad rain with deep puddles and I've not really had a battery-water problem...
