Ebike charging using Street EV chargers for electric cars

Totally feasible, although you'll need an adapter that features a manual release switch, such as the one below, else you won't be able to disconnect it from the charger once the charge is complete: http://evbitz.uk/T2___UK_13A.html

    Help! Carrera Crossfuse Hybrid e-bike

Not so. You are confusing the 'Crossfire' with the 'Crossfuse'. The former is plagued by reliability issues, but the latter uses a different electrical system that doesn't suffer the same problems.

Range not as good as I would expect from higher amp hour batteries?

Andy, you can stick your fingers in your ears and shout “la la la” if you want, but regulars here can confirm that the Suntour electrical system used on the Carrera Crossfire-E is plagued by problems and is widely considered as 'unfit for purpose'. I'm no particular fan of Bosch mid-drive bikes...

    Help! carrera vengeance e bike

It's the controller that needs to be compatible, not the motor. The LCD8H is a KT (Kunteng) LCD display and is only compatible with KT controllers. No, it wouldn't. Your LED display is a Kingmeter/Lishui display and the one in the ebay listing is a Kunteng (KT) display. The two systems are not...

    help !!

In all honesty, no it shouldn't, but all we've got to go on is the information that you have provided. As the information changes, so does the diagnosis. What happens when you disconnect the throttle?

    help !!

Okay. That sounds more like a mechanical fault, rather than an electrical short of the phase wires. I would remove the motor wheel from the bike. If rotation still feels stiff unmounted, you'll have to open up the motor for further examination.

    help !!

Does the motor feel stiff or notchy at multiple points throughout a rotation of the wheel, or just at one point?

    help !!

A stiff motor wheel is most likely due to shorted motor phase wires or controller FETs. If you unplug the motor from the controller, does the motor become easier to turn?

Help! I zip fault starts up on switching on?

Yes, they're of limited use with brushed motor systems. A multimeter is all you need. Start by running through the following guide on testing for blown MOSFETS, provided by the excellent Grin Tech (ebikes.ca): https://www.ebikes.ca/documents/BlownMosfets.pdf

Help! I zip fault starts up on switching on?

I think Andy is correct. This is a controller for a brushed motor, so a shorted FET would cause full power runaway.

Help! 48v e bike battery help

Thanks. The conversion kit listing lacks some important information. Does the controller supplied with your kit state its 'maximum current' on the label?
