    Overclockers Dream

Thanks for the explanation Dave. I know it's a little off-topic, but have you used this approach to reach 30mph with a BPM-CST laced into a 26-inch wheel, powered with 12S lipo? I've think I've decided on this setup for my next build, but have been concerned that I'd miss those few extra mph...

    Overclockers Dream

Is this hall sensor requirement only relevant with a KU123 controller for three speeds? On my non-sensored SWX I get three distinct speeds with a 3-speed switch.

    Lights again

I found that the teeth that keep the bracket secured were ground away each time it was opened and closed, until the point where the clamp opens on bumpy ground and the torch simply falls onto the floor. Also I found the swivel functionality unnecessary and play in the joint only added to...

    Lights again

I would avoid those clips - they're bloody awful. I bought a couple of them and neither lasted more than a two weeks of commuting. What worked for me in the end were a couple of interlinked jubilee clips.

Think 'virtual time trials' crossed with social networking and you're pretty much there.

    Can You Fit Aftermarket Throttle

Hi. It all depends on the controller you have, i.e. if it allows you to plug one in. A photo would help if you can gain access to it.

What do you carry in your repair kit?

It's crazy isn't it? I fix more flats for others than on my own bike as well. It should be compulsory that a bike be sold with a repair kit and a pump, instead of a crappy bell that you can't even hear from your own saddle.

    Thinking of getting bike

Out of interest, do you mind me asking what that connection is? Tell me to "get stuffed” if I'm being too nosey. As far as the OP goes, d8veh gives sound advice, an opinion which I'm sure others will back up.

What do you carry in your repair kit?

Do you have a hub or mid drive and have you ever needed the spare link on the road?

What do you carry in your repair kit?

I was actually looking at one in aldi a few weeks ago, but I thought it was a bit large to call it 'bike portable'.

    Old dog?

As far as kit goes, I would recommend two things. The first is a multimeter - doesn't have to be expensive but I find alligator clip leads handy as well as the usual pointy probes. The second is one of these...

    Cycling in London (again)....

This article from the Telegraph was bought to my attention this morning: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/men/thinking-man/11064416/Motorists-have-ruined-England-and-they-need-to-pay-the-price.html Although it doesn't raise anything new and IMO, includes a couple of errors, the comments are as...

What do you carry in your repair kit?

Indeed! It's all good until the one time you've run out and then "the **** hits the fan" (or should that be hub motor?). I only replace with a full roll now.

What do you carry in your repair kit?

Hmmm... I haven't done more than a long days riding so far, but I always thought I'd take a portable iron if I were to do anything further. Is gas still favoured over battery power? Also, the note is a good idea. I shall do the same.

What do you carry in your repair kit?

You might as well cash-in after all the years. At least with a beer it wasn't a complete balls-up.

What do you carry in your repair kit?

An earlier post by drsolly today concerning roadside repairs got me thinking about my repair kit and and wondering about other people's. What do you carry with you to assist with unexpected repairs? Here's mine: In it are: Puncture repair kit (I don't carry a spare tube); Gerber multi-tool...

    EBAY JUMPING JACK PRICES

I don't think it's intentionally dishonest, but I've never really thought about it from the perspective of a buyer. Nowadays my use of ebay is still quite heavy, but only as a buyer. I guess that subconsciously I am aware of both sides of the coin and just don't think about it any more. EDIT...

    EBAY JUMPING JACK PRICES

Wander, you have to understand the motivation here. This is common practice on eBay and is by no means limited to a few sellers. The way that eBay design their 'best match' search algorithms gives the seller little choice but to go along and use the system they are given.
