Juicy Bike Kits ? Tell me about them

I do like the bpm and cuts down my travel time by 5 mins. But its far to easy to pedal lightly. I could easily have a single speed on the back of about 12 teeth with it as its hideously easy to get to full speed. Do miss the little front motor as it was basically a little help with hills. Now...

Do you cycle in the rain and......

Yeah they where selling stuff at £60 for some shorts and I thought there is bound to be much cheaper about. Its not even named branded gear. I don't mind paying that price if you give me a decent quality brand. Just seem to take a punt on online stores like cycle store.

Agree with the above.I don't have disks so it was never an issue. However my rear wheel - although straight is off center to a standard wheel. This meant alot of calibrating for the gears as I would not be able to hit the lowest gear and slip of the higghest gear onto the axel. I did the...

I never did that self learning thing. Just wired up the red black and white throttle controls. D8veh is right on the anti rotational washers. To be fair i have four on mine. Two on the inside, two on the outside

    tyre exploded

How are you pinching the tubes exactly? I've never done that on a bike ? Although alot of people keep saying that Marathon plus tires are hard to get on wheels but again have found no difficultly in doing this.

Juicy Bike Kits ? Tell me about them

I wouldn't imagine so. I live not far from them and brought one of their kits. Infact I still have half of it (Controller and front bafang motor). They do seem to have problems with there website every now and then. Also have kits off the shelf. Worth a look though. I don't think Frank has...

Latest lock suggestions please for new ebike owners

Different type without the round key. I know the pen trick. It works better with a berol pen though. The softer plastic works better and there the correct diameter.

    Torque arm?

Yeah something like that would be perfect. Just to make sure its got a bit more strength. Since the frame is 6061 aluminium.

    Torque arm?

I am also using the anti rotation washers which should be ok. But I'd rather run something extra as a just incase... As the frame is 6061 Aluminum I just think it would be safer to have something.

    Torque arm?

Probably just good practice to use one really just incase. Obviously dropouts are not designed to take such forces. Although most 250watt motor's will be fine. I'm currently looking at getting a pair for my bpm motor as its pushing 750watt without to much trouble. Does anyone out of...

Latest lock suggestions please for new ebike owners

I just use one of these that I have for my motorbike. Although to heavy to cart round with me all the time. So occasionally use an abus cable lock. Its not that great but stops someone robbing off with the bike if I am only going to be 10mins. Anything longer and I use the two...

Insurance companies push to make e bike insurance compulsory.

It won't happen. Far to complex to implement / control and enforce. Not mainstream enough to create any profit for now. That is untill we all have electric vehicles then it will need to be changed. Revel in it while it lasts. Scare mongers ;-)

Yeah seems to be the only issue really with the kit. The additional battery use will undoubtably kill batterys life expectancy and range suffers quite a bit. How ever its expected. Think i'd be lucky to get the 18mile round trip to work without charging the battery in between. Least to keep...
