Change off mind from yose power to mid drive

I'm now considering a 36v BBS01 250w kit with 48 tooth gear wheel (to keep the gear ratios the same as it is now) possibly with a 36v 20Ah battery. It shows an rpm 78/83 but I won't be pedalling that fast, maybe somewhere between 60-70 It has a 11/34 cassette, so I think would be ok up steep...

I think 20a might be too much with quite a few of the 250w rated hub motors, I've seen recommendations here for maximum 36v•18 amps to not strip nylon gears

I can get up most of the hills near me with the Woosh XF08c kit and 17amp controller at a not so svelte 105kg. I do have to add some pedalling power though

7a rated 15a max, yeah that's standard, rated always seems to half maximum. 15a *36v will be fine for your svelte figure. I think 20a might be too much, Woosh supply there xf08c kits with 17a max controllers Usually you get cable brakes levers with brake cut off but have to pay extra for...

Are you just using the motor and getting a wheel built ? If so that should be fine 20mph @28" will be slightly slower at 26" but will still be fine. It's not particularyl cheap just for the motor , probably £100 to get the wheel built It's not particularly cheap for just a motor...

Is it mad to want two e-bikes?

I have an unassisted bike but when I compare my average heart rate on an unassisted bike ride to an assisted bike ride they are pretty much identical (although if feels harder unassisted and obvs I don't go as far)

    Chainring swap advice needed

I think the three chainrings are riveted together - not sure from the photos but can't you just use a crank puller to get the crank off ? https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/pedelec-nirvana.47347/post-717660

Change off mind from yose power to mid drive

10 I think, I've got some way to catch up some of the people here I really enjoy it and learning, choosing the best option for the rider / usage. Just doing it for friends and family and myself, don't charge anyone (although I ve been given some nice bottles of wine !) I do think it can be...

Change off mind from yose power to mid drive

I've got a BBS02 conversion and it works well although rated at 750W so not UK or EU legal. I also converted an old Gary Fisher mountain bike for my sister using the Woosh TSDZ8 48v (rated at 250W) it's very powerful. It does fit 68mm and 73mm bottom brackets, but you need to be careful with...

Think about buying a Yose power need help guys

It's good to ask here for advice but sometimes people can end up in "analysis paralysis". There's something to be said for hands on doing conversions and learning that way. A Yosepower kit is a good, inexpensive starting point that you can later do upgrades and refinements if you want to

    Fitting yose power

I think the yose kit has a speed based controller - as you approach the "speed" for that PAS level, the assitance decreases, and above the speed for that level it won't assist you at all. There are also "power based controllers" (e.g. KT )where the PAS level equates to the assistance in Watts.
