Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2470730643317547 There's quite a few disc 9s around but they are a weird rim size and much narrower fork gap - can only fit narrow tyres

    Argos bike EplusCFX5

I don't think its necessary but due to my wife's concerns, I store ebike batteries in a army surplus ammo box (remove the rubber seals) in the garage https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/never-tackle-an-e-bike-battery-fire-yourself-warns-fire-brigade-after-another-blaze.46121/post-693840

Help! Converting folder bike to cassette

OK - so my son and his girlfriend asked me to build an ebike for them. His girlfriend is very petite and wanted a bike she could bring into her work rather than leaving it outside. My son said he would only use it occasionally but wanted something he could ride on forest trails and towpaths...

    Argos bike EplusCFX5

If its this one They even do a 24V 17.5Ah branded cell version if the 24V 7.8Ah standard one doesn't give enough range

    Argos bike EplusCFX5

The price is good and the reviews seem pretty good, The things that would put me off are 1) V brakes 2) 24V 3) weight 4) very small battery / range I like 20" folders and have converted a few, but even going for lightweight choices, still getting 16-17 kg including a 36V 10Ah battery (which...

For Sale Bafang rear hub motor kit 250w, 48v 17.5ah battery - UK Road Legal. 26” Wheel.

I think you need a matching torque sensor, controller and display (I had one from Woosh) that has a connection to the motor from the controller

Skarper e-bike conversion kit now available in EU

Not defending the Skarper, but I do think that a lot of features that make bikes very expensive are a bit redundant when you have an e-bike. You don't need as many gears on an e-bike 7 or 8 is enough, you don't need to worry so much about weight, you don't need to worry so much about the...

Giant Anthem & LIVALL PikaBoost 2: opinions sort

I converted a scott full suspension, with a rear hub motor. I managed to fit a down tube battery (it was a tight fit). There looks enough room on that Giant ? Or @Woosh converted his full suspension bike with a ts85 hub motor with built in torque sensor and saddlebag battery

    Old Giant struggles with hill.

Did you try the bike using a lower assist level on that hill ?

    New road ebike Project.

That seems about right / a little fast to me - no load speed of 374 rpm at 36V with a 700c wheel. If you wanted to travel at 35 km/h , for a 700c wheel, I think would be around 260 rpm, so for optimum efficiency no load speed of around 340 rpm Presumably you weren't going to use a 48V battery -...

    Hi from Spain

I think it would be technically possible, but not with the Mahle X20 - I think that technology is proprietary and locked. But it would be technically possible to start off with a road bike , add a very lightweight hub motor and add a bag battery and then set the motor assist cut off speed...
