    Death by Careless Driving case.

I really don't see that this is entirely different. Many 4X4 drivers cite safety as a prime reason for buying their gargantuan 4X4. Many drivers cite safety as a reason for not cycling. The activity I would contend is personal transport from A to B. Where the line is drawn as far as recognised...

    Death by Careless Driving case.

What if the cyclist had a huge 4X4 sitting at home on the drive? Could the defence not argue that if the cyclist had chosen to drive rather than cycle he would not have suffered any injuries.

    New range of Cytronex bikes

I can vouch for the 20 mile assisted range. This week I've been frugal with the power to see how many miles I can get on a single charge. I've mostly just used the power on hills but also avoided struggling or breaking out into a sweat. I'm up to 41 mles so far and still have charge left...

Great pics - thanks for sharing :)

    Battery Boost

Yeah it's true you can't go wrong with all that power to spare. The dreaded puncture and a walk back home is my only problem as far as the old knees go. Any more glass on the roads (is that possible?) and I'm going to have to change to marathon plus.

    Battery Boost

My knees are bad to the point where I often find walking painfull and I use the Cytronex without issue. I tend to automatically stand on the pedals for extra leverage when starting off but that's mostly because I've left the bike in a higher gear. It takes very little effort to reach 5mph...

Getting ready for Tour de Presteigne

Depends on your point of view. From yours I'm guessing I should have said the right side. PS I'm a bit miffed I missed seeing the beast in action but I got there too late. Just out of interest that wasn't you torturing a bicycle helmet with a pair of metal clamps just before the tour...

    Just back from Presteigne...

I was there today too. A very good show that seems to have expanded somewhat since last year. Pity it coincided with the Malvern show - the traffic was queued back several miles to the island off the M5 J7. :( I intended to try more bikes this year but got totally mesmerised by the Cytronex...

    ALDI Cycling Kit 2009 - May 7th

I bought the track pump. It has a dial. Tight fit though as Killjoy says. Used it on the car but seemed to lose a lot of air pulling it off the valve. Judgement reserved pending further use. Gloves 9/10  . Bought a couple of pairs but had to take them back. I'm a large ones in their...

    Marathon Plus anyone?

That certainly is both stealthy and healthy. And one for the wealthy. £1,597.00

Getting ready for Tour de Presteigne

Just done some sums - probably wrong as usual but I'm guessing it's the wrong side of the national speed limit on the flat. Fiendish. Tee hee.

    Best Customer Service Example

It was only last year, I believe, people were posting their fears about the wisdom of buying a good e-bike, AKA a Wisper, in view of the faults being reported in the forum. Personally I've always had the impression that Wisper were 1st rate both in customer care and continuous improvement.

    My frame has snapped

Blimey bad luck Mussels. Talking to a chap in the LBS a few weeks ago. His nice new Marin frame had snapped. Good luck getting back to normal.

Hi Nick How's the bike coming along? Only a few days left.

    Fell of my scooter today

Yes, well done. I'd have done the same (except I can never find a pen & paper when I need one). It's hard to believe that people can just drive off after hitting a pedestrian or a cyclist. It's also surprising how apathetic most bystanders can be.

    Cytronex

Good luck Mike. Might be worth checking out the Wisper while you are at Presteigne. They have the bigger capacity battery and hence the range you are looking for. Other than that I think the Cytronex is a great bike. PS. The doctors probably right. Don't push those knees too hard.

Getting ready for Tour de Presteigne

Hi Tiberius The bike is looking most interesting. I'm no techie but I'm guessing the welded bits (top & front) are for batteries? Perhaps another larger one between the top tube and down tube. Back behind the seatpost the controller? And is that a Bionx motor in the back wheel? Dropped...

What can I say. Like the colour.... Good luck getting it all together and hope you do well on Sunday. Is that a steel frame?
