    ALDI Cycling Kit 2009 - May 7th

Mmmmmmm profiteroles..:p Actually I'm up for a new pair of gel gloves, another pair of sports glasses, a new gel saddle for my dad, and I'll also be taking a look at the track pump, ergonomic socks and rear frame bag. The winter stuff I bought last year, except the foot pump, was...

Thanks I've been waiting for that. :)

    Wisper 905/Kalkhoff

I can verify that the first 2 options are capable (on a good day) of boosting the Cytronex Trek to 27MPH already. You can forget the third. I've added the T-Bike to my wish list along with the cold fusion battery, a final salary pension, and an annual salary award.

    Eco Friendly Bonuses

I'll have a 10 year old Smart car next year. I can't see any value in the new scheme. Either to me or the environment. Neither can anyone else, I've spoken to (who owns an old banger). I'm with Killjoy - I paid far too much tax on my electric bike.

    Electric Car Confusion

Or even proven to actually exist.... Not quite the discredited myth it used to be though and it does seem to be making a come back.

    Cytronex

Hi Mike I'm not sure I see that much difference between the Cytronex and the X6 which I take it you already have. I have no experience of the X6 but the Cytronex rides very well without power. The downside as with the X6 is that without power you will have that extra weight to cycle up the...

Portable cold fusion battery. I want one. I believe they come in flasks :D

    Oh to be young again......

If James Bond ever rode an electric bicycle it would not be a Cytronex. He'd most definately be shaken but not stirred. No, I see him on something more like a Go-Cycle racing along at a breakneck pace of 16MPH!. Obviously it's not going to be anything like up to the job but that's never been...

What do people think about electric bike law?

I really think you're right. I'm quite happy with assistance up to 15MPH and I don't have any issue with the law.

    Tongxin Controller

No idea about the heat Andy but Cytronex have it positioned under the crankset. I Never notice it.

    Tyre Repairs?

It was an evil looking green glass shard that punctured my rear tyre a couple of weeks ago. I think recycling with regular glass collections is making things worse. Verily the roads are paved with glass. :(

    Oh to be young again......

That is just totally unbelievable and the most amazing things I've ever seen done with a bike. Thanks for the link.

    At a Crossroads....Ideal Electric Bike.....and stuff.

Yes, I have thought about that including the higher revs nano. Only problem is the carbon forks and the disc brakes that would have to go. It would have to be one of the cheaper (fortunately) and slightly heavier models but there's not much extra in it as far as the weight goes. I can't put...

    Pushbike Custom Conversion.

I also think it will be interesting to see what the Cytronex team are going to offer. I thought they did a great conversion with the Trek 7.3 and that it was a very good choice given it was aimed at the the commuter market, the bike had to take the electric kit, and that they wanted to produce...

    At a Crossroads....Ideal Electric Bike.....and stuff.

I believe the boardman is 8KG. In comparison the Trek 7.3FX is about 11Kg. Add the electrics and battery and it's 17KG with the battery being 2.5Kg of that. So yes the Cytronex Trek is a good electric bike for people who want something like a normal bike but for many (like it was for me)...

    West Midland - Dealers?

John, Know what you mean. The big thing to take into account is the battery, what range it will provide, how many charges you can expect from it, and how much it costs to replace. As far as the duff knees go the e-bike is a vast improvement over a pedel only bike and much, much, more...

    At a Crossroads....Ideal Electric Bike.....and stuff.

This years cycle2work scheme has just passed for us. I was looking at the boardmans too but managed to get distracted and totally miss the end by date. I was thinking of getting a bike for the wife but she's feigning a lack of interest. I take it you mean the the £999 road bike...
