    Carrera Crossfire

to be fair the forums search facility isn't always the best - I usually do a google search and specify the site as pedelecs.co.uk

    Carrera Crossfire

This thread https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/crossfire-kt-upgrade.41623/ seems to suggest you will need a new cadence sensor

    Carrera Crossfire

Is this any use ? https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/carrera-crossfire-removing-and-replacing-motor-system.38096/ or https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/carrera-crossfire-controller-and-display-upgrade.44194/ Is it a hub motor ?

    Eleglide T1 step-through

It has a bottom bracket torque sensor - same as the Eleglide - ETA getting contradictory info - from their site says cadence sensor (doesn't really matter that much) https://uk.fiido.com/products/fiido-c11-electric-commuter-bike

    Eleglide T1 step-through

From what I could tell the Fiido had a more powerful controller/motor and bigger battery and was lighter

Can you find any in stock ? - the Fiido C11 looks similar

    TSDZ2B Bits and Pieces

Thanks Az I think I have found the answer to point 5 "5) Is there something I can check on the potential donor bike regarding the motor rubbing - or is that easy to fix ?" https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/threads/tongsheng-tsdz2-review-and-build-tips.37248/ "c) Bikes with fatter tyres such as...

    TSDZ2B Bits and Pieces

I was thinking about a TSDZ8 conversion. If I was looking for a donor bike, is there anything I need to look out for to make the conversion as simple as possible ? 1) BSA bottom bracket (or press fit BB that I can buy BSA adapter) 2) Space on the downtube for battery 3) Hydraulic brakes 4)...

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

For comparison, I'm getting up this on a couple of my hub bikes (36v 18a and 48v 15a controllers), where I am roughly 17 stone. I'm pedalling hard, but not getting out of the saddle. With the BBS01 you have the advantage of the motor's effort going through the gears (whereas on my hub bikes...

De restrict for off road use

I thought it meant max power in thermal equilibrium, as opposed to a peak power that would eventually cause the motor to overheat (critically the regs don't specify the speed :- just about any motor would overheat at 250 watts if it's going slow enough)

De restrict for off road use

The image the police released showed 30.2 km/h

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

All that matters (legislation wise) is what is stamped on the motor and the speed assist limit. The amount of power the controller supplies to the motor is not controlled by any legislation - 500 Watts input power is quite low for hilly areas - I don't know if you are using a 36V or 48V system...

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

That's effectively what the existing legislation does now https://ebikes.ca/laser-250w-power-rating.html

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

Because they don't want to bring in legislation that they think risks a big increase in road accidents

DFT consultation on increase of 250W limit to 500W

As @flecc has mentioned many times our governments are very proud of the UK's road safety records (one of the best in the world) "Eager to encourage two wheels to get drivers out of cars, long ago they decided that since mopeds were fairly slow and car drivers were already safety tested, they...
