Prices of the electricity we use to charge

This is the record from the Mauna Loa Observatory that opened in 1958 But this still seems consistent with his pledge for China emissions to peak before 2030 (some analysts say this has already happened) and be carbon neutral by 2060. They are also building a huge amount of renewables power...

This one ? (this was the first two reviews I came across, but still might be interesting) https://www.telegraph.co.uk/books/what-to-read/viral-alina-chan-matt-ridley-review-pushes-lab-leak-theory-behind/...

What a revelation my Ebike is

That's probably quite similar to me - I can do trips of about 20 miles and the 20Ah 48V battery drops by about 3-4V , so probably uses just over 25-33% of the battery

What a revelation my Ebike is

@soundwave how much of your battery does that trip use up ? Is it quite a busy route and you have to stop and start quite a bit or quite quiet ? - how hilly is it ?

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Well that is pretty early on , I guess that there has been a lot more research into it since then but I still think "a laboratory escape scenario cannot be excluded" even if it less likely than a zoonotic explanation. The last bit of evidence I can find is from March last year which suggested...

Don't know an awful lot about it but I thought that was the most likely cause ? eta - this was the first scientific article that popped up when I googled covid lab leak vs zoonosis https://journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/mbio.00583-23

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

Production emissions does not account for emissions embedded in global trade - China produces emissions for a lot of stuff consumed here (and lots of other countries)

Prices of the electricity we use to charge

The observed and projected impacts, risks and vulnerabilities are laid out by experts in their fields There seems very much a consensus around this, I can't think of any serious researchers into this area that would dispute the IPCC technical report ...

What a revelation my Ebike is

That's the best sort of gift - something you wouldn't have bought yourself but then realise it's brilliant. I too, am still a bit in awe of e-bikes and how brilliant they are, and you can turn the assist level up or down depending how much exercise you want and how fast you want to go. I saw...

    Physics of Bicycles

I was interested in where the energy to power a bike goes and the various bike design parameters, not really specific to just electric bikes e.g. 1) weight - at first I was thinking this only really applied to hills, but I'm realising that there are very few completely flat roads and even on a...

How do I calculate how many calories I’ve burned?

I think these calorie calculations are fraught with error - different fitness bands give very different estimates. Some do an estimate purely on heart rate not on distance/speed. If you looked at it in purely heart rate in 6 hours of cycling, you would struggle to burn less than 400 calories...
